Actually Koyomi appeared as a vision in Ep 52 on the field and it was then that she received the flowers, so yes that could well be a possible reason.

That'd be a shame but I suppose they did go out with a bang. I just take issue with the whole idea of him being tossed aside for a few eps, then finally showing up to fight only to die. I dunno - I'm gonna say it's up in the air until we see those flowers.

That being said, when I was checking to see if the production blog updated with anything on the saga setup, I noticed Takatora's actor put up a blog post where he just says something like "You put up a good fight, brother." followed by some photos with him and Mitchy's actor and with the Yggdrasill cast. Kept it simple compared to Hase's actor who had a lot more to say about how time on the show, which is kind of part of why I await further confirmation on the character death.

Well it sucks Takatora isn't confirmed to be either dead or alive yet. Episode 39 could confirm whether or not the Priestess of Fate is Roshuo's Queen since she and Mai have been confused for each other. At least by Kouta.

I don't know if the summaries on that blog are accurate right now. It still says Oren saves Takatora and Jinba Melon arms appear in ep. 40 so I dunno. The official scans say that Mai gets kidnapped in episode 39 but these say it happens in 38...

Either way, there are some contradictions but I guess we'll see eventually if any of that info is true.

EDIT: At the same time, Mai being kidnapped by Mitsuzane could happen in ep 38 and the scan is referring to that as the inciting incident of the next episode. Episode 38 could be where Mitsuzane gets over his visions of Takatora as well.

yeah i believe he's still alive, when everyone believed he died the first time, there was nothing in the scans or episode previews he survived correct me if im wrong.

actually it would make a major plot hole since oren doesnt know who the melon rider is, so that's a reason i think he survives plus kota is probably going to find takatora's driver when he tried to stop the battle being interrupted by redyue, since kota will probably have the driver and no one else can use it, it makes no sense for the driver to stay his possession, so it has to be used.

If Kouta will be holding Takatora's Sengoku Driver for a while, I wonder if we'll see Gaim using Melon Arms against Micchy?

The Driver should still has the Melon Lockseed attached to it, so if Kouta is holding Takatora's Driver, he should be holding the Melon Lockseed as well.......
