Kamen Rider Gaim - Lock 08 "Baron's Newfound Power, Mango!"

Sooo...how long till they can no longer film in the forests due to budget? Hibiki also made the forests a main setting and it was somewhat disliked by Toei because it was expensive to film. But for the Helheim Forest I guess any old bush or park will do. They just need to stick some props in the ground, have clever camera angles and then slap the special effects in to blur out other stuff.

Not gonna lie though, Gaim's samurai suit looks amazing with the forest background.

Gaim is only getting forest scenes every few episodes, unlike Hibiki where it's used every single episode.

Hilarious scene ever.

Too picky. Only version of the episode I have is incredibly poor quality with some subtitles on it. Can't watch that. The hell? Where's proper raw?

Solid episode. Interesting to hear Kaito and Mai's backstories and how they despise Yggdrasil for running their families into the ground.

I liked the scene with Mitchi manipulating Sid into fooling Takatora. That's some sly stuff there, bro. And now Ryugen has a bike, albeit being the same as Baron's. And I like how they explained how Suika arms can't be used again for a while. Good stuff Gen.

Another thing I did like was that Mai tried to call Kota before entering Helheim. In other series, the character just enters a dangerous place just cause and that always irked me. Like, where's your common sense man?

What does bug me is that no one thinks Yuuya is dead, and no one seems to worried about it either. You saw what was in that forest - what makes you think Yuuya is fairing any better?

Glad Kaito remember that picking up the fruit in the forest gives you lockseeds. I find it funny that the first lockseeds Kota, Kaito and Mitchi picked out were all high level ones, but now Kaito can only find bad ones.

Cool Dragon Invess, glad to see they are starting to gain more presence. Also glad to see Kota using form changes practically, and how Mango arms was not forgotten from ep 4. Hope Zangetsu does more next episode. :buttrock:

Y'know, I keep thinking Sid might betray Takatora for Micchy but a nagging thought in head keeps telling me otherwise. I mean, that what it seems to be happening. Sid is more reasonable with Micchy's terms than Takatora's and looks is willing to do anything to ruin Takatora's reputation.

Anyway, the episode was pretty good but a bit rushed at times. It really felt that it just wanted to show the Mango Arms and get over with. The backstory with Kaito and his view on Yggdrasil explained a lot about his view on power and strength.

btw, Mango Arms is BEAUTIFUL. It really fits Kaiba'sKaito's fighting style nicely...though Banana Arms is still my favorite.

Is it me or action has been getting better with time?
It doesn't have the wow factor of the first wizard fights of course, but for it's own, hack and slashy fencing type of deal, it seems like it's been picking up over last few episodes.
