By that reasoning Sagara is flirting with Kouta because he has "high hopes" for him and keeps giving him gifts.

Kaito's not that young, his age according to the official site is 20 (none given for Minato, but since Ryouma and Takatora are both stated to be 26 that's probably the oldest she'd be)

Yes, I'm pretty sure she's older than him. Relatively he can still be a kid from her perspective. In any case I honestly never got any vibes from her that she's interested sexually in Kaito, but rather just wanted him to further her and her cohorts' goals. You folks are just weird. >.>

It's really hard to not get that impression from the way she acts around him? I heard on another site that Minami Tsukui had said she believes that Minato was romantically involved with Ryouma in the past (any source on that would be appreciated), and Minato is certainly more affectionate with Kaito than she was with Ryouma

26 (at the most, Youko could be younger)/20 is not such a crazy age gap. Speaking as a 25 year old woman, I don't really see twenty year old men as children.

So far as Youko's romantic interest in Kaito goes I don't see much evidence either for or against it. She seems to see him as a man worthy of respect, but that's all we know for now.

If that's true, it wouldn't be anything new in the superhero genre. Or the action/adventure genre in general. The Lestranges were a married couple in Harry Potter; I've never heard anyone complain about Bellatrix's motivations, even when she actually is seen kowtowing around and sucking up to Voldermort. That's far more than we've ever seen Minato do with Ryouma. They just chalked it up to her being an insane villainess.

Well, whenever I see the Genesis Riders and the Beat/Armored Riders, the latter look like children in comparison. (Which I'm sure is the show's intent.)

I do think the show is trying to manipulate us into trusting Youko. Note the word manipulate, I don't in any way believe it's true. I think, as I have for quite a while now, that Youko has much the same plan as Sid did, AKA piggyback off stronger people to deal with problems you can't, such as Takatora. The key difference is, Sid got reckless and played his hand too early, and paid the price. I think Youko's still waiting for her moment to strike, and is cozying up to Kaito because he's currently the big contender in her mind, the one most likely to get her the closest to the prize.

I really do think they intend for her to be seen as suddenly good. She has shown concern for Zawame's people and other Yggdrasill employees (wondering why Ryouma was doing nothing to help them) and according to Toei in the next episode she
