Now that I've watched it with subtitle, the whole situation seemed even worse and nonsensical. When Ryusei told Gentarou to die for the sake of his friend, I was like :sly:, oh noe I hope you didn't really mean that. I'm not interested in guessing the plot, but if Ryusei really chose Jiro's life over Gentarou's, it's just plain wrong in term of characterization. If he did have the heart to kill Gentarou, he could have as well ignored the KRC when Cancer cut out their souls, or punched Tomoko on the face when Cygnus used her as his shield. And he didn't have to go out of his way to reconcile Gentarou with Kengo either.

I know Ryusei will stay and remain as Meteor but they'd better redeem him properly.

everyone is judging meteor is bad guy by looking at one episode, this is like ooo when date had to betray eiji/ankh/hina to join the greeds to get goto to become birth and the fans judged him as a bad guy too, not everything is what it seems, this is the same with ryuusei, i think ryuusei knows that aries cant defeated by magnet states and cosmic switch is the only way to defeat him,

i was looking at the subs, he said that gentaro is willing to die for a friend which is ryuusei's friend, which is cosmic switch's power, but he had to make the deal with aries or else he and gentaro will be destroyed, ryuusei had to stop gentaro or else he would have been destroyed by aries because magnet states will not defeat aries.

he had to use a secret technique to temporary kill gentaro for cosmic switch to work and to keep ryuusei alive as well, kengo doesnt know that, but he probably will and ryuusei knows it. he has to pretend he's working for aries, or else he's dead too.

I don't believe that Ryusei was secretly doing this (allying with Aries and "killing" Gentaro) just so Cosmic State can work as intended. We already saw Ryusei defying his employer Tachibana because he concluded that Tachibana's plan isn't as fail-safe as letting Aries save his friend Jiro, and since the original purpose for him to become Meteor was to save Jiro's life we can see that there's nothing he won't do to accomplish that goal, not even if it involves other people's lives. I doubt Ryusei was trying to pull another stunt like he did to make the Magnet Switches functional several episodes ago.

Maybe he really has no other ulterior movie. But don't forget Ryusei never meant what he said, and the previews are mostly misleading (or trying to be)

The biggest disappointment I have for Ryusei is not just that he (apparently) killed Gentaro, but that he formed an alliance with Aries, a monster who doesn't value people's lives at the school he transferred to, against Fourze who has saved many people from Zodiarts. That's why even after Gentaro is revived, it still won't sugarcoat his terrible decision. And doing so despite Tachibana offered a better alternative to save his friend Jiro made it hard for Ryusei to get out of this looking anything but traitorous.

I thought it was very natural. We have Aries who presents a quick, easy solution to Jiro's problem and Tachibana's solution is that getting the switch might help Jiro. So you have Ryusei, pretty much emotionally charged coming at Gentaro in a desperate attempt to help Jiro. You can see he immediately regrets it afterwards.

After watching the subs, it's pretty much clear: Hayami hated Sonoda, he REALLY hated Kijima, and now he hates Yamada. He hates any Horoscope other than himself. And since this is the second time a young kid has got one over on him, anyone thinking this could be leading up to something majorly evil on his part? He could then go out of the show in dramatic style

Nah...Hayami will go...

Another awesome episode of Fourze!

- My god, Aries is just as bad as Cancer. And he's not even bothering to work with the other Horoscopes! I imagine Gamou must not see much point in messing with him considering he's a new Apostle, and is probably just giving him his own space to continue his evolution. Gamou has Libra to hand out Switches, so as long he's getting new Horoscopes he's happy. Overall though, he doesn't seem to be stronger than Cancer, considering Fourze was able to weaken him with a new Switch and would've probably finished him off with Magnet States. I wish they would've shown him as stronger considering the type of arc he's being featured in, but otherwise I like him.

- As for Libra, he really doesn't seem to get along with the new Horoscopes. The only Horoscope he seemed to have even a shade of a good relationship with was Sonoda/Scorpio, and that's just because she was the only one who was loyal to him. Virgo just seems to tolerate him but only barely. With the rest of the Horoscopes coming, I'm interested to see just how Hayami will deal with the onslaught of new blood who probably won't listen to a word he says.

- Finally! Bounce Back returns and... it's used for a fight sequence with Base States? Sure Magnet States was used eventually, but most of the song was used during the scene of Base States dodging Aries and using #39. Not complaining or anything, but it's certainly weird.

- The fight between Meteor and Fourze was nice, if a little short. It's certainly been a while since we've really had a Rider vs Rider fight, and for that purpose it did a good job. We even got to see Meteor Storm toss it's stupid Beyblade thing and do a Rider Kick! A non-CG one at that! Makes me hopeful that Cosmic States will have an awesome Rider Kick.

- Is Gentaro dead? Honestly, I'm not too sure. Of course the obvious thing is that Meteor did the classic martial arts thing of only stopping his heart for a while, but the preview makes it look like it's not that simple. If I were to guess, I'd say the Cosmic Switch is somehow tied to reviving him, and that somehow gives Fourze the ability to use it.

- On Ryusei, whether he really was trying to kill Gentaro or not, it doesn't change the fact that he did make a deal with Aries to save Jirou and it's obviously going to bite him next episode. Now, I can see Gentaro instantly forgiving him for what happened, but I certainly don't expect things to be completely the same with the Club if he stays on. Not to mention I don't see any reason why Tachibana should give him back the ability to henshin into Meteor even if he has some kind of plan. Which considering Cosmic States is still going to be needed, is not going to work.

- I like that Ryusei has a dogged nice girl pining for him at his old school. We most likely won't see her after this arc, but it's nice to see nonetheless. Though I was amused that Gentaro and Yuki just think she's his girlfriend despite all the time he hangs around Tomoko.

- Can't wait next week for some Gengo moments, the club at the mercy of Aries, and the debut of COSMIC STATES!!! (AKA, the Ultimate Form).

Means to an end; he didn't need to do that stuff but, he needed them alive just so they can "help" him find Aries.
