Also, the second woman in the cast, Rinna Zawakami, will be a scientist in this special unit. The cast is much older than what we have had in the other series, and I really won't complain about that, I think it is actually great.

For the purple Roimyuud, its name is Iron Roimyuud (number 029) and it also has a solid body, so it isn't Mashin Chaser. We only know that Mashin Chaser is a powerful rival from the other scan, and that seems like another Rider to me, not a monster, otherwise why call him a rival ?

He could always end up something like an enemy commander or in one of those situations where he's not quite a villain, but not a hero either.

We've had secondary Riders in Gaim that were older than usual, and a few slighly older blues in Sentai in recent years. Perhaps Toei are just willing to try it to see if it has any effect (good or bad) on the ratings? Rider is usually a little more willing to take risks than Sentai, after all.

guys......the dark tone from gaim might be reduced, judging from all info that we've had.

actually it's okay if it really is (i hope that i'm wrong though :laugh, but it will surely make things worse if they pick-up 2 eps arc format..yeahh, i'm still sceptical about this show when thinking dat format thing :eyebrow:

Toei specifically asked Urubuchi to drop the 2-parter format, so I think they've realised that it was becoming a hindrance. Rider has a habit of evolving from series to series so *crosses fingers* hopefully it won't come back.

I've read a few murmurs that Gaim's serial format was losing the younger kids in the audience, so perhaps Drive will have more stand-alone episodes rather than being entirely arc driven.

I'd imagine he's going to be one of those "dark counterpart to the main Rider" characters. Of course, there have been both Rider (Another Agito, Dark Kiva) and non-Rider (N-Daguva-Zeba, Nazca Dopant) versions of that character. Who knows, maybe his Rider/non-Rider status won't be officially confirmed until the show had ended, like with Wiseman/White Wizard?

He's not "handsome" or "pretty" at all. He's outright ugly. I'm not holding that against him (he's playing a Kamen Rider not an underwear model) but he is the least physically attractive Rider lead of at least the last ten year. I seriously don't get where all this "omg he's so cuuuuuute!" is coming from in the fandom

Terui and Gotou were young, I don't think age will be an issue. Given Toei's policy that female leads must always be very young, he will probably be older than his sidekick at least

Its all subjective. I don't care if hes attractive or not. As long as he can act and have a great performance on the show. I will say though it's nice to finally have a Main Rider with short hair as opposed to the usual long and medium hair. It was becoming an eye sore so it's nice they change things up.

Tire change? Seriously? God... help me. I don't think I can stand this Rider already. The car was fine and all as long as Mashin Chaser had a bike, but man, this is a bit too... colourful and it doesn't look neat.

I'm willing to bet the Tires will change for a bit of the show until it runs to the point that they get bored of it and spam the final form again.

I'm fine with the tire change, but you already spoiled the show :laugh:, hes going to use the tire changes for the first 5 episodes and then once the form changes start flooding in they will be forgotten.

Woah they got Tony Stark to do the voice of Trideron and the Drive Driver!! That's so cool. Also It's nice to have an older cast on the show. Makes sense to me, after all they are a police department. You can't have a police department with a bunch of teens and 20 year olds.

Mashin Chaser, although always called a "rival", not a "Rider", has secondary Rider level merchandising. We probably will get a standard second Rider in the second quarter though, but they could throw a twist there too.

If they're teasing the secondary rider already, I doubt he'll be the only additional one. Maybe they'll have a cast of 3-4 riders, like Faiz or Blade.
