Kamen Rider Drive - News/Rumours Thread 1

Wait, so Mach-Chaser's just the body of Chaser with Mach's helmet and chestplate?

I'm not sure how I feel about this

Poor Chase ...

While I'm still angry that the show resolved BOTH love triangles by having the party who had something "wrong" with them (Brain being in love with another guy, Chase being a Roidmude) sacrifice themselves so the one they love can be happy with the "better" person, at least it looks like Chase will be back even if temporarily. He's in scans for the last two episodes ... but his Core blew up! What will this show pull out of its ass to bring him back?

They'll probably say there's something special about him since he was 000. Or something hand-wavy like that.

EDIT:
There were sources that said that he just kinda vanished in Surprise Future near the midway/end. If they pull a Gokaiger with the Timeranger thing and have Past Chase (Surprise Future) go to present time, that'd be cool.

whoops, ignore me then. haha

I heard that ...

In Surprise Future, Chase and Shinnosuke are both blown up by Paradox and believed dead. As Kiriko wanders through the wreckage, Chase pops up and tells her they're still alive, but Shinnosuke is missing. Chase then doesn't reappear for the rest of the movie, apparently because he is too injured to fight - at this point, he knows he won't be able to battle, so he's given his Driver to Shinnosuke. So, yeah, there seems to be a mundane explanation for his disappearing.

There may be a couple of possibilities though: in Surprise Future, the real Mr Belt is restored from a backup of his data, and there's also the incident where Gou was somehow able to revive Yukari by processing her through Banno's system. It still seems like it should be impossible without Chase's core, but who knows?

Maybe there's a backup of Chase's data stored somewhere?
(like how there were some of Proto-Drive's memory stored in the proto-speed shift car)

Could easily revive Chase from the Proto Speed shift car and Signal Bike if they so wish, the writing is up to them.

Officially speaking Gaim Yami and Ryugen Yomi are considered as separate riders.

Maybe episode 48 is actually set between episodes (and responsible for all of those Roidmudes that died suddenly between episodes) or alternatively Chase's presence there is a temporary resurrection like Sword and Freeze are getting in it.

IIRC the scan does say that the Riders take care of surviving Roidmudes after Banno's defeat - suggesting this happens post-46. Even if Chase is a temporary resurrection though, he should be back again for Movie Wars

Sword and Freeze are revived in 47 (the last Sanjo episode). We've only seen generic Roidmudes in 48, and their pictures are too small, so we have no idea about their numbers. The scans mentioned that 47 take place after the "final battle", although 48 isn't necessarily related to it (since there's a different writer). Still, I think it's very unlikely they'd have 47 with Tomari already knowing Ghost and then go back to the past in 48 to show how they met for the first time, closing the series with that.
