This is cute. *dusts off hands* Alright!
So you're saying they could have gotten Hiro Mizushima, Sato Takeru, and Joe Odagiri back?

Odagiri Joe was never going to come back. I expected that, so when they recast Kuuga I was not shocked, and figured the new guy would be Kuuga from that point on.
Ok seriousness aside, Takeru prolly would have been the most likely out of the "Big name former Rider actors" to come back. Ain't no chance in hell you gonna convince Joe and/or Hiro to take a break from their "high profiled Jdrama careers" to appear on the anniversary series of a kids show.
Pfft. They punted Takeru the **** outta the Den-O movies, why would they ask him to come back for Decade when he's not even there FOR HIS OWN SERIES' MOVIES? I kinda figured they would use whatever guy is Den-O now though.
I know saying the "kids show" cliche is lame, but it is understandable in a sense. I mean ask any former American toku actors that are now BIG TIME STARS in "mature tv show" if they wanna return to their old "kids show" job, and you'll get one or two things..........
1) Laugh their ass off and tell you no chance in hell
2) Jack the price tag up on their appearance so high that the filming/production company would have to mortgage their houses just to get these guys to appear for one or two episodes
Okay. So, let's tackle a few things. There's no such thing as an American toku actor that's a "big time star". The biggest is Amy Jo Johnson, and all she got was some made-for-TV movies.
Oh, and Jonny Yong Bosch, the Jun Fukuyama of English VAs, who's got more fans as JYB than he EVER had as Adam, and he's come back.
Lastly? Kamen Rider isn't on the same level as Power Rangers. I'm sorry. PR hasn't launched a career since...ever. Both SS and KR are platforms for rising stars to get their names known by a wider viewing audience. There's a far bigger level of respect for Toku in Japan than PR.
And I think that was one of these cases when it came to some of the former Heisei Rider alumni. I mean there are still rumored reports that Odagiri still wouldn't want to touch another toku series again b/c he didn't feel "respected" as an actor or something like that, so that kinda holds true. And do you honestly believe Hiro would return as Tendou unless Toei basically broke the bank for him?
With that being said, you're still 50% right. If Toei really WANTED TO bring these Heisei Rider alumni back, they would have broken the bank, sold their kids and mothers, etc. to make sure they could make them ALL return for a cameo apperance.
The rumor is that Odagiri felt Kuuga overshadowed a lot of his other work. As said, he was never going to come back. But I'm not sure why you think Mizushima Hiro wouldn't.
