Kamen Rider Decade rumor/picture thread

To me: If G3 is a Rider then Tackle and Shadowmoon are.

Well, Shadow Moon I believe is getting or has gotten the Ganbaride card treatment which is supposedly coming with his RHS figure, so again, Decade is somehow becoming the series who declares who is a Rider and who is not. But again, it's just a franchise name. Just a trivia, Shadow Moon's complete name is Century King Shadow Moon and Black's is Kamen Rider Black in the series.

Now if Black Had been Brainwashed by Golgom, or Gorgom or however it's pronounced, He would have been called Black Sun right?

In past rider are given to heroes or those who declare themselves they're, but Heisei era there evil riders like Dark Kiva. Dark Kiva isn't called a rider in the series, but was consider one then Shadowmoon is a rider too. Shadowmoon is the same as Black in term of basic designs and powers. The only difference is it work for Gorgrom unlike Black or Showa riders that ditch them off to be heroes. Also Alternatives suppose to be riders too, but Toei still didn't allow them to take on the rider name.

^ Again...

Regarding Shadowmoon: In KR Black series, he is not a Kamen Rider, because only Black called himself as a "Kamen Rider" since both of them are "Century Kings" and Black wasn't brainwashed unlike Shadow Moon. Hence Black calling himself a "Kamen Rider" for the purpose of rebelling against Gorgom, and Shadow Moon a Century King by default.

Regarding Tackle: No official word whether she's really a Kamen Rider since it has always been a rule when Sensei Ishinomori was alive that he gets to declare who is and who isn't. Sadly, he died before completing the draft of Tackle's character, hence her being vague. But she is considered to be a Kamen Rider because she followed the guidelines of a female Kamen Rider character as per Sensei Ishinomori, a. Must have Henshin Sequence, b. Must have Rider Kick, and c. Must die. I'm not totally sure if Toei followed the rules eversince, but if you noticed, most female Riders before gets wasted.

Regarding Riot Troopers: The only real Kamen Rider in KR 555 series in general are Faiz, Kaixa, Delta, Psyga, and Orga, but in concept, the Riot Troopers are also Kamen Riders because it follows the requirements of being one in the series, which is to must be an Orphenoch or atleast have the Orphenoch DNA. The Riot Troopers are not considered a Kamen Rider by many because it is weak and tends to be fodder, but since it was mass-produced, it tends to be weaker, hence not having the signature KR stuff the likes of Faiz has. Just consider the Sherman tank, it's considerably weaker and had none of the technological advancements that the Tiger Tank has, but it's still a tank.

Regarding Another Agito: The term "Kamen Rider" almost never existed in the KR Agito series since the guys who had extra-ordinary powers and can henshin were called "Agito". Gills was a failed Agito and Another Agito is literally another Agito. I don't even recall G3 being called Kamen Rider G3, if he ever was, I guess because of the fact that it is some guy wearing a suit, hence being "masked".

So given these explanations, you would notice that the term "Kamen Rider" is simply a franchise name used by the recent toku shows, and only a few has dared used the term "Kamen Rider" within the series because let's face it, the writers come up with a story not because they need Kamen Riders to have a story, it's because the Kamen Rider franchise needs a story every year like in the case of most Heisei Rider series (heck, some of the Heisei Rider series was supposed to be for Metal Heroes or something entirely different, but the franchise managed to acquire them instead), but Decade was able to change all of that by becoming a medium of all different stories in the Heisei history to give them a common denominator, hence showing that they are just part of the franchise if you look outside the box. Double on the other-hand masterfully used the term "Kamen Rider", having the explanation of being a masked vigilante, hence having the power to use it (this was all explained during the episode with a girl being told that her dad is Double since her dad was supposedly scarred and had to wear a mask, he was also called "Kamen Rider" by witnesses and even on the radio) (IIRC, some series used this technique also to be able to use the term within the series)

So there is really no use debating the usage of the term "Kamen Rider", because let's face it, only Shotaro Ishinomori had the right to proclaim who is one, and Toei had to continue his legacy and are using different ideas which causes confusion to some.

Regarding Diend: Contrary to everything I just said, that bastard doesn't deserve the name "THE-END", let alone be called a Kamen Rider, he's a disgrace! All he does is Henshin, steal, summon, get creamed, and INVISIBLE! And occasionally a Final Attack Ride, but. The bottom-line is, he's a cowardly @sshole who is just so damn irritating because he appears out of nowhere for God knows how, runs his mouth, and cowers away! F*ckin useless character IMHO!

Shadow Moon doesn't carry the "Kamen Rider" name, he never even called himself that unlike Black who proclaims himself as such. Basing on the series, They are both created to be "Century Kings" to fight to the death for the survivor to be called "Creation King". In fact, Black knew this, that is why he called himself a "Kamen Rider", because the sole purpose of his existence was to be a "Century King" and fight for the title "Creation King", and naming himself otherwise is his protest against Gorgom's true goals for him, he regards himself as a mysterious masked being who rides a stolen Battlehopper, hence calling himself "Kamen Rider". If you google "Shadow Moon", you'll never find an official name prefixing him with "Kamen Rider". But given his form and his power, he is considered one by most toku fans and even gets a Ganbaride treatment, so Toei probably accepts him as a Kamen Rider now, though you have to remember that each series has their own mythology, and KR Black's shows that Shadow Moon isn't one.

In the Kiva series, I believe much like Agito, the term "Kamen Rider" almost doesn't even exist. It is pretty much just a story which was used by the Kamen Rider franchise for the year 2008~2009. IIRC, they call Kamen Rider Kiva mainly with his respective name without the term "Kamen Rider" (e.g Kamen Rider Kiva = Kiva) , and so did the others like Ixa, Arc, Rey, and Saga.

Regarding Alternatives: Shadow Moon and them are somehow falling to the same category because they are part of series with other characters proclaiming themselves as "Kamen Riders", but never proclaimed themselves as such. Their only difference is in KR Black series, Shadow Moon he is the "Century King" by default because both him and Black were created the same way, though Black escaped brainswashing, while in KR Ryuki series, Alternatives are copies of the 13 Riders and are merely Rider-like and doesn't consider themselves as Kamen Riders. If they have a Ganbaride card, then they are Kamen Riders per Toei, but since as far as I remember, Shadow Moon got the Ganbaride treatment. So again, it's down to series mythology and if they get the Ganbaride treatment.

And as an added note, Alternative Zero did appear in Decade's Negative World where all the dark Riders are, though he seems to be not in the same league as Orga, Dark Kabuto, and Ryuga, let alone Dark Kiva who leads the pack.

Now if Black Had been Brainwashed by Golgom, or Gorgom or however it's pronounced, He would have been called Black Sun right?

Black Sun is the name given to him by Gorgom, but since he dislodged himself from them and is totally against their wishes, he uses "Kamen Rider Black" as a sign of protest instead. So Century King Black Sun is his actual birth name.

EDIT: Corrected some information regarding Shadow Moon.

Just saw this Ganbaride of Shadow Moon from his LRS figure.

It looks to be a Final Attack Ride Card, but it says "Shadow Flash" on the name of the attack, is this one of the moves in the Ganbaride game? Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

BTW, Decade pretty much cemented Century King Shadow Moon as a Kamen Rider with this card.

Oh yeah a KR Black series Q. Why did the 3 priests only help Shadowmoon become the next creation king? All they want kill Kotaro to retrieve the sun stone. The answer is not just Black needed to be rider to have KR Black tv series.

Those final attack ride looking cards(yellow) are the special cards used in play to cast certain effects. After the each round you are allowed to do a few things (finisher/special card/nothing). Scanning that specific card wouldn't allow you to have Shadowmoon on your team it would just use it's effect(there are playable cards for him though). Also, no it doesn't cement that he is a rider. It actually proves the opposite. On all the cards of riders just to the right of their names it says 'kamen rider'. Shadowmoon's cards are all missing that. So obviously, just like it has been stated many times, he is not a rider.

yeah, there are yellow ganbaride cards for tackle, shocker soldiers, monsters, negataros, etc
doesn't mean they are all kamen riders
