Hibiki had 2 disciples, asumu and kiriya.
Kiriya, who appeared in the later half of KR Hbiki, being the annoying character that he is on that series, was more dedicated when it comes to being an Oni than asumu.

or prolly since kiriya isnt there, in that AU, Hibiki's official disciple is Asumu, thats why he has kiriya's suit.

In the real world, Asumu never had any interest in being an Oni disciple, until Kiriya goaded him into it. IMO, he deserves to be an Oni alot more than Kiriya. Now we're going to see it. Besides this was part of the writers original plans for Hibiki in the first place.
