Kamen Rider Decade - Pictures

[Kaji Motomiya]

Not a story, but more like a poem...ish type of thing. They're small one-shots that are depicted as the character's troubles and resolutions. It's hard to explain in words, but maybe if you read it, you'll understand. It's kinda like...um...the Digimon Tamers' drama CDs in which they write letters to their Digimon, and it's just them talking (in Juri's case, it was to Culumon and Impmon).

The one-shots are divided into the four main character's words, which are called "Albums". If I get good results from this project, maybe I'll work on the AU Riders or the New World characters if you guys request.

-A picture can last a thousand words. A journey begins with a single step. One picture becomes many, and one memory becomes the life. A picture is a reminder of the past, but the journey is the road to the future.-

Tsukasa's Albums - Journey​

My camera takes my pictures
but I'm rejected by its world.
My pictures are my memories,
memories that replace the ones I've lost.
Rejected by the world,
I've wished to find my own
through the lens of my camera.

As I traveled each world,
I've met new people
and became friends with some.
My intention was to save,
but in the end, I destroyed.
I am the Destroyer of Worlds
And so, I will destroy
in order to save.

I wish to remember them,
everything I've touched
and everyone I've met.
And I will continue to remember
as long as they continue to exist.
As long as Yuusuke, Kaito, and Natsumekan
remain by my side,
I no longer have a need for a camera
to find the world I long for.
Because the presence of my friends
is the world I truly belong in.

-I've passed on, and will continue to pass on through. That is my journey. Remember that.​

Tell me what you think for the first one. I basically tried to sum up Tsukasa's entire existence while trying to say that despite not having a story, Tsukasa will always have a story as long as people remember him, just as he will continue to remember the other Riders he "destroyed" so others will remember them too.

I know, right? Saying that Decade doesn't have a story (**** you, Koji Seto lol), made me feel bad for Tsukasa. I mean, what was the point of his journey then? To sacrifice the Riders and himself to save the Riders? A mission of self-sacrifice from the get-go?

I wanted to show in that one-shot that despite Tsukasa not having a story and being some fan-nerd's dream come true doesn't mean that he can't make one himself. As long as he continues to exist, Tsukasa will always have a story.

A suicide mission that he was kept mostly in the dark about. Definitely a screwjob if I ever saw one.

For what it's worth, I think you did good. I could hear the theme song in my head as I read it.

Natsumi's Album - Kazoku (Family)​

I dreamt of a war
a terrible one.
The Riders fought an unknown entity
and were utterly defeated.
His belt had a strong power
and his eyes were filled with malice.
I uttered his name
"Decade".

When our world was being destroyed,
the strange object of power
belonging to the Rider that destroyed all
fell into my hands.
And upon his request,
I gave them to Tsukasa.
Throughout each world we've visited,
within each ally we've met and friends we've made,
I've seen Tsukasa grow.
From when he picked up the belt
to the day he became the destroyer
and to the day he returned to us
as Tsukasa.

And as our journey continues,
I will continue to watch him grow.
With him, Kaito, and Yuusuke,
we've become our own family.
And no longer do I hide behind their backs
as I've done before.
I now fight by their side
as one of their family,
as Kamen Rider Kivala.

I will continue to watch Tsukasa,
because he is a part of our family.
And I hope that one day,
I'll be a part of his.

Yuusuke's Album - Nikoyaka (Smiling)​

Why did I become a Rider?
That guy, Narutaki,
he gave me the belt to become Kuuga.
And in turn,
I fought by Ane-san.
I fought for Ane-san.
I fought for her smile.

The Grongi was defeated
with the help of a stranger.
A stranger who would become someone
very dear to me.
It was because of Tsukasa-san
that I met many of my friends
and found my place
as Kuuga.

I lost the Ane-san of my world
and in turn lost my smile.
I found an Ane-san in another,
but she is not my Ane-san.
There is only one Ane-san in my life,
and if she can hear me now
and watch over me
she can see that
I'm still smiling.

The smiles of my world
The smiles of other worlds
The smile of Ane-san
The smile of my friends
Give me reasons to fight
and reasons to keep smiling.

Kaito's Album - Takara (Treasure)​

Onii-san
I wanted to make things right.
After getting you involved,
I've lost everything,
my brother, my world.
What I've done to fill in that void,

Though I never realized it
You were my treasure, weren't you?
I followed Jashin Fourteen
for the sake of our world.

to your own hidden agenda.

by my own foolishness.

Junichi
Though you are gone,
You are not forgotten.
You will rise as the next Jashin Fourteen

With my friends, we will be a family again.
For a treasure I have lost,
new treasures I have gained.
My "takara" have become "nakama".
And my "nakama" have become my "chikara".
