Japan Hero is Officially Done.

The sadness is shared, man... Japan Hero was the first site I ever worked on and helped with. It made the dream of this site possible.

I've always liked the bunch over at Japan Hero and I've always really wished they'd bring their knowledge and experience over here.

You guys have always been welcomed in my book.... and I'm glad to have you here, SamuraiE.

Keith mentioned that Jeff was supposed to be writing up a message to the Japan Hero faithful and the community at large, but I don't think we've seen anything of it yet.

It's not much of a consolation I know. Truth be told it really does stink that the site went down so abruptly.

I don't believe a warning would have been possible since it happened abruptly after the hacking.

Either way, if those reviews are that important, you can always use the Wayback Machine, the most recent archive is from 2008, so there's a decent chance whatever you wrote is there.

Well, it's good to see you here, Dr. Kain. I remember you from Japan Hero. And if there are other members here I am not recognizing, I'm very sorry.

Jeff definitely said he was writing something up, but I think that which drew him away from Japan Hero is what's keeping him from writing his final thing on Japan Hero.... two children and one on the way and a job to pay for it all.

Aw damn it, I may be a bit active there and I found that board quite like HJU, only that it's not powered by VBulletin and I consider that place my hangout when I am seeing the 503's and other errors out there. Sheesh! I feel so uncomfortable seeing this kind of stuffs happening around. Goodbye JH, it was nice to be with you for a little while.

I was also part of the old JH crowd before it went down, but I definitely wasn't active (I was TokusatsuFan, by the way), and before reading this thread, I had no idea that the site was never going to come back. Much like other former members, JH was also what drew me into the Toku scene, and it's sad to see it finally go. I just hope the scumbag who ended it all too early gets what's coming to him.

Looking around here, however, has made me realize that if there were any other places to migrate on over to, this would be it, never mind the fact that I had to wait almost two weeks to get full access after registration (the most frustrating wait I've ever had to endure!). JH, however, will forever live on in my heart as the place where I first discovered Toku.
