@Lynxara, this is hearsay but I guess it's because of Takanobu Terada (producer of the OG series, and a lot of other SRW games). He likes the Gespenst line and favors the other main protagonist, Kyosuke Nanbu.

After Alpha Gaiden, the Gespenst and its variations also make appearances in Real Robot Regiment, SRW A, SRW Impact, SRW MX, ACE and OG Saga.

I don't recall the Gespensts being playable in A, Impact, or MX... which for my money means they might as well not have been in the game.

OG Saga is OG line so... whatever.

I seriously do not think Gespensts or any Banpresto unit appeared in ACE, I played the first two and Banpresto had nothing to do with making them, there's no Banpresto acknowledgment in the licensing information. ACE is From Software, IIRC.

I don't know anything about Real Robot Regiment, but I've also never really cared about it.

The RPT-007 Gespenst Mk-II M is a playable unit in ACE. It's one of the two playable original units, the other being From Software's Cloud Breaker.

Banpresto published the ACE series for From Software.

Having played the Game and Watched the anime, despite having several differences between the two, the plot was kept intact and didn't have real major changes enough to influence the flow of the story.

The only disappointing thing for the anime was it didn't focus on the Huckebein mecha, but opting to focus on the Gespenst.

Yeah, that sucks. The Huckebein was so awesome and really reminded me of the Gundams visually. I think it had a beam saber IIRC.

I also remembered the gespy's making an appearance in ACE, sadly the only ACE I played was ACE 3 so I didn't have the chance to use it.

In OG's the only Gespenst that i really liked was Gilliam's Gespenst Type RV, which looks 1000x better than the other Gespenst's Even if the Gespenst Type S makes Kyosuke scream like crazy while using the Gespenst kick, Type RV looks much more awesome.

Though they wouldn't stand a chance with the Huckebein's Black Hole Cannon, since c'mon, its a Black Hole :laugh:

Another thing I read was that the OG anime didn't want to focus on the Huckebeins is that they resembled the Gundams a lot, but They did acknowledge it's existence in the show, with the vanishing trooper incident.
