Hyper Yo-Yo Burning! - Talk Up!

... yeah, if anyone subbed this, I would watch the hell out of it.

I might watch it anyway, I mean, it's a tokusatsu about kids with burning yo-yo spirit that named the main character Moeru.

Kay, so that was pretty amusing. Shou and Moeru face Izou to see who gets the restaurant owner's piece of the Legend Cluster, the Legend Spacer. They compete by trying to pull off the best rendition of a trick called the Long Sleeper. They all get into it and start producing energy fields and what not. They're pretty even until Izou makes a freaking astral tiger out of his yo-yo spirit. Seems like the other two aren't capable of doing this and he easily wins, knocking them on their asses with ease. The restaurant owner begrudgingly gives him the spacer and looks disappointed in the other two. Shou thinks they should just call it quit and Moeru sorta feels the same until they meet the street vendor they ran into last episode and then two have this glorious bro moment (while totally cockblocking the vendor's attempt at a speech) and go back to the restaurant owner. They want him to teach them to do a proper Long Sleeper and he tells them to give it up. After much begging, he finally relents and says they can learn it by...cleaning his kitchen!

Really fun episode! Nothing too new in terms of the plot, but we get to see decent advancement of the characters. Shou and Moeru are on their way to being a team and wanting to improve as much as they can. Shou definitely seems to be looking at things in a more positive manner. Izou seems like a dick, but he's got his soft side and I think he's trying to get his hands on the Legend Cluster so he can use his mad yo-yo skillz to make people happy. He just seems rather annoyed by Moeru and Shou trying to bite off more than they can handle in going after the Legend Cluster.

Next episode is going to be using the story device from...god knows how many shows: teaching someone a skill by having them do something absolutely unrelated to it. In this case, they'll be cleaning pots and pans! Should be fun.

Also, with this episode we have equaled the same amount of screen time a normal Sentai episode has. I'd really love this show if it had longer episodes, but with the pace of the story, I don't mind the short ones too much.

Now I just wish someone would upload them somehow, I'd totally do it if I could figure out how to record off keyhole since it doesn't seem as if a normal encode is going to find its way to the surface.

Man, this thread is the number one search result for Hyper Yo-Yo Burning, I don't know if that's sad or not.

So with Keyhole supposedly ending its service in July, does anyone know of any other streaming services available? I normally wouldn't care, but it really seems like proper encodes will not come out for this show (and I'm not even sure what the current popular Japanese p2p is to check, haven't used winny in ages) and I would really like to be able to follow it and hopefully get more people into it.

KeyHole ending it's services? But the creators are asking for paypal donations to improve.

And it's going to be hard to get support like for Yatsuguri with a lack of raws and subtitles for those raws.

So, who wants to bet that the sequel series to this show will involve.......dare I say it.........YO-YO COMPETITIONS ON MOTORCYCLES?!
