How can anyone dislike the Candroids?

Ehh. I think it's kind of bad pool to start a thread titled "how can anyone not like X?" and then yell at people for explaining the reasons why they don't like X.

If the question was asked in good faith, you should be willing to hear out their reasons without accusing them of just being jerks who don't like anything. If it's not asked in good faith and you're just doing it as an excuse to yell at people who don't feel the same way you do... you're being kind of a troll.

If the thread were called "The Candroid Love Thread" I would feel differently, but it is what it is.

It took all my power not to post "Very easily! *ba-dum-tish*" way earlier in the thread, but I felt like the fans should get to have their love-in. I'm baffled by this, but some people really like them some Candroids. Well, hell, there's stupider things to like.

I only started reading at around the point where most threads are going way the hell off topic and some negativity had crept in anyway. Now, some people feel like if they don't like something, nobody should, and that's especially prevalent in this fandom. I want to make it quite clear that this is not the kind of person I am. If you enjoy the Candroids, if you want to buy the toys, I'm happy for you having a fun thing this year.

If I post why I don't like Candroids, I'm explaining myself only. I'm not looking to make converts. I don't feel like having a bunch of people agree with me would somehow make my opinion (or anyone's opinion) more valid. Opinions, as they say, are like assholes. You don't make a better asshole by getting a bunch of assholes together. An asshole is pretty much just an asshole.

Which begs the question, what's the logical reason to having all of those vending machines scattered all over the city? I doubt it's to quench everyone's thirst. If it's for the purpose of having an easy access to weaponized animal helpers, then why not just have something that doesn't resemble anything with a purpose far from whatever that object was designed for?.

Which in the end is what they did by building the bike and the candroids in the form of vending machines and drink cans.

I mean, there's a thread for Ryuki Fans, correct? Well, it's not the best place to express opinions on why you don't like Ryuki when it's your opinion and it's not a fact.

No offense to Black Fang.

Threads like this are fair game, but everyone should cool down here a bit. It's japanese entertainment directed at children. People should treat it that way.

Then why focus on the negativity and build on it? This seems to be happening very much these days. It's happening with the Candroids and it's been happening with Ryuki for quite a while now.

The Candroids just aren't fun toys. The Memory Gadget were so-so but had a bit more personality to them than the Candroids.
