Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger - Talk Up!

I'd usually watch Akibaranger once before the sub is out, and another when sub is finished, but for this last episode I'm going to wait for Overtime to be done with their script because I think I'm going to watch it twice with the sub. Usually Super Sentai can be a hit-and-miss when it comes to series finale, but whatever happens, I think they can pat themselves on the back for a series well-done.

er; anyone else feels that Nobuo/ AkibaRed and Marushina have amazing chemistry together? like, when they fight together at the end of the series, it looks more like they are dancing together than really fighting together to harm each other. It's like they're really enjoying themselves being opponents (perhaps that was the point of their relationship in that show, who knows )
Last question; in your opinion, has Marushina done anything really evil at any point of the series, like trying to harm innocents? It's like, she looks more like a playful opponent to the rangers, than really a threat to peace and justice, lol.

It looked more like they were just dancing to be honest

But yeah they look great in their scenes together.

For your question, Id have to say no. She hasnt done anything you really could call evil. But it seems that it would be because evil isnt her main motivation. In the previous episode she clearly is in it for the realization of her father's ideals in changing Akiba etc etc. Not a bad motivation for a not-really-serious parody show.

Well, they both do plan to prolong their fight so their world won't end too soon, so I guess yeah, they're enjoying their fight.

She was once a threat to peace. Peace for most of the otakus in Akiba though. Peace (and justice) for mankind in whole, not so much XD

Btw, I kinda ship Nobuo and Mitsuki together XP

Mitsuki's still in high school while Nobuo's almost 30....

I kinda wish they went a little bit more meta at the end though.

Im surprised Nobuo didnt go thinking, "If this IS a show, then we're all being played by actors." Something along that line.

And then ended with a "CUT" at the last minute and we see the camera zoom out to see the whole set. Idk.

I love what we got though. I really do.

Sayaka is his designated love interest, but they really laid it on thick with the Marushina/Nobuo thing towards the end. I think it's just taking the piss out of Sentai like Liveman, Jetman and Carranger where the Red was or had previously been involved with the villainess.

I loved the last two episodes of Akibaranger but I haven't seen 7 through 10 yet, I need to catch up

I was a naysayer when this started, but that was a very enjoyable show. I expected it to be far more crude than it ended up being and I really loved the plot and all the little references. Unlike most others though, I'm glad it's the end, I think it would have gotten pretty old, pretty fast, if they kept it going much longer and the charm would have worn off.

Although not introducing an extra ranger, even just for one episode seems like a bit of a missed opportunity.

I don't think Akibaranger will get another series, which makes me a little disappointed, but it wouldn't really work. Sentai has never made a sequel or second series of a show before and it's not something the franchise "does", so it doesn't fit in with Akibaranger being a parody of the official Sentai.

I feel like that was a moderately unsatisfying conclusion and yet I feel like that was sort of the point.
