Me, it wasn't that bad. Just needed a bit more work on the storyline, but the soundtrack was bad-ass.

More work on the storyline?? What elements? Aside from the fact it is the story of Exodus, I thought it actually added an interesting story element that the Bible completely seems to not address is that Ramses (aka Pharoah) and Moses were brothers (by adoption). There had to be some major conflict and falling out between those two; something the movie story fleshes out pretty well.

I guess we have to forgive the numbskulls who doesn't have a clue about the source material.

I'm not a Christian, nor do I read the Bible, but IMO the movie is a good summary for those who can't understand Exodus. though according to my mum (she's a dedicated Christian), they made a few changes, like the real Moses wasn't very good at speaking, so his brother Aaron does the talking for him. I also read somewhere that Ramses isn't actually Moses' foster brother, but his foster uncle. correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I wouldn't call them numbskulls...if my post didn't indicate it, I was genuinely interested in finding out what other elements you think the plot would've made it better. As it was an adaptation, but still a creative adaptation, it did allow room for creative interpretation.

Jacky, I've heard that too, but I don't know what the history actually concluded.
