Basically, I just need a good alternative to ISO Hunt and Mininova.

honestly, until demonoid comes back, TPB (thepiratebay) is your best option for pretty much anything not anime related (though you'll find a fair amount of anime there) TokyoTosho is pretty much your best bet for anime, as it's a hub where groups that host on other trackers will usually upload links to.

BakaBT (formerly boxtorrents) is also a great place to get completed anime or manga series from that are no longer seeded elsewhere.

I'll have to use Torrent reactor to download new episodes that I didn't record (Heroes or The Simpsons) and also to download the new current issue from Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 8 comic version...although, they are slow with that.
