I second getting a warranty. I had an xbox and got the ring of death, got it fixed. Then it kept freezing like a week later, and I couldn't get it fixed because the xbox died a day after the warranty ran out. I was so mad. Now if I decide a get a game system, I'm getting a PS3.
The failure rate of 360's is very down. They don't happen nearly as much anymore. Most of the people that tell you they do are just anti xbox fanboys that don't want anyone buying a 360. And as I stated a few posts back, lets say it did RROD. MS gives you a 3 year warante.
That's most likely true. Mine broke last year and was the older xbox 360 so I'm not sure if that 3 year warranty applied to me. But I was a huge fan of the 360. The new 360 slim has cut down problems on the RROD, not as many.

I'd consider getting an extended warranty if I were you, Kaji.

Just some advice, if you have the option, get the PS3 version of Star Ocean 4.
In addition to being multi lingual, you also have the added benefit of not having to swap out your disc every time you want to visit a new world to grind materials during the last quarter of the game, which was the main reason why i sold the 360 version to Ragna and picked up the ps3 version in the first place.
