Gekiranger or Shinkenger

Okay, since I've been hearing a lot that these two Sentai Series are considered to be one of the best, I thought I'd make this so you guys can debate which of them is the best of all. So, which do you like more? The Martial Arts themed Gekiranger or the Samurai themed Shinkenger?

Yea, I actually would have to say Shinkenger is actually one of the worst, very dissapointing.
Gekiranger on the other hand, had that nice Plot twist that kept me interested.

I beg to differ on saying they're both "one of the best Sentai series". anyway...
both Jan and Takeru have good background story reveals: how we found out about Jan's true origins, as well as Takeru being a kagemusha.
in terms of character development, both series are pretty much the same with Red getting all the development he ever gets.
in terms of storyline, well, Gekiranger wins since their plot twist with Long being the Big Bad all along was more mind blowing than revealing Kaoru as the true Shiba Lord.
in terms of action, of course Gekiranger wins because c'mon, all Shinkenger did was just swaying their swords with style.
I actually don't like neither one, but since I have to compare, I'd say Gekiranger is the better series.

I chose Shinkenger only because of how much I like the characters. Gekiranger's main three were my least favorite after the Hurricanger main three.

Cast is the deciding factor for me, too. I like pretty much everybody in Shinkenger and basically nobody in Gekiranger.

Tough call character wise its pretty close but I'd have to give it to shinkenger because their characters feel more developed by the end of the series. Story wise Gekiranger had an incredible plot twist like many of you have said, but Shinkenger also had an incredible plot twist not to mention bringing in a female red senshi. Shinkenger is heavy weapon based obviously on the other end of gekiranger where they used hand to hand combat majority of the show. this is a tough call I guess it comes down to nit picking so I chose to tie the two.

VERY hard to decide... I enjoyed both of them equally.

Same... though I did like everyone in Gekiranger with the exception of Ken. =_=

IMO... cast-wise, Shinkenger was better. However, Gekiranger wins story-wise.

Like both.
Story-wise, Gekiranger wins for more plot 'continuity'. Shinkenger wins in characters and casts.
Mecha and suit designs (team and main villians) I prefer Shinkenger. But for MOTW designs, Gekiranger had more elaborate designs.
On music/soundtracks, Shinkenger have LOTS of memorable tunes that I love as compared to Gekiranger.
I like Shinkenger more than Gekiranger, but both are my favorites.

Both were just 'ok' to me. I did like Mele a lot though.

I love both but Gekiranger is still the superior series.
