GARO: Makai Senki - Talk Up!

I guess Red Mask identity have to be revealed sooner rather than later especially with the hints that was given out to the audience in episodes 13 and 14 ... withholding it much longer wouldn't make much sense since Garo isn't going anywhere storywise at the moment (well for me at least, not sure about the rest) ... With the guy behind the Mask revealed and put to one side, this is where hopefully Garo progresses storywise !

It wasn't the when it was revealed I was talking about, it was the who was under the mask. They were pressing the idea he was under the mask so much, since episode 6-7 I believe, I was positive it was going to be somebody else.

And in the original series, outside of Rei's arc, Garo main story didn't really get going until they revealed Kiba's identity.

I just finished ep 6 of Makai Senki, and while I really like it so far and I think it's a worthy follow-up to the original series, it seems like Kaoru is really given next to nothing to do. I know that it is hard to come up with the same thing where Kaoru's story was tied closely with the main plot again, it seems like even her relationship with Kouga was given very little spotlight. Hopefully Kaoru's role will be expanded, because right now it seems like the only thing that she was used for was for the end credit.

Having watched 16 in full now I have to ask, what does everybody else think caused Leo to put on the mask and start on this path? Possession, split personality, just plain loco.

Whatever the reason it has to do with the Makai brush in he's carrying around and the woman we saw briefly when he was talking to Karou early in the series. Possibly a sister or a girlfriend who was killed while assisting a Makai Knight in battle.

Of course another question has to be how many Makai Priests are going to agree with him and stand by his side?

- His hate for Makai Knight .... which i think is pretty obvious to people who have seen the series so far. But i think there is more to it than just that he wants to avenge the death of the women that we saw earlier ...

- I am hoping its not his girlfriend ... too reminiscent of Season 1 where Rei initially fought Kouga thinking that he was the one that killed his girlfriend. I am thinking its either his sister or his mother that was killed by a Makai Knight when he was young

I was REALLY hoping that Leo wasn't gonna be under the mask.Everybody knew,I knew,it was so painfully obvious and when it was revealed...disappointed to be right. :disappoin
I want there to be more to it,maybe his back-story will help,but the "mystery" behind the identity left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.The mystery behind Kiba was so much more well done,for me anyway.He was a side character that I didn't expect and I was legitimately surprised.I do hope that they make up for the lousy mystery with something really amazing.

Did anyone else laugh when Red Mask jumped in to pilot riguol (I think that was its name) because it reminded them of Dr.Robotnik, Also Rekka comes back next week

[HIDE]Reo's father will be shown in episode 19, his name is Goki and he will be play by Daisuke Ban, the girl that Leo is always thinking of is named Mio, she will be played by Yoshino Sayaka, who previously was Princess Laiina in the Hurricanger movie. The Red Mask declare his real intention in episode 19. Red Mask's speech lead to the division between the Makai Knights. Kouga will make a contract with Gajari in episode 21, Wataru will also appear in episode 21 [/HIDE]

BTW, I really hope someday they will make a movie of the Yoseki no Wana novel. According to a Japanese reader, Shakunetsu Kishi Yaiba was awesome
