Future Kamen Rider Adaptations/Remakes

iv'e been thinking, what if they just skip the tv and adapt it into a movie... saban could just co-produce it with some big studios

a movie in the same vein as THE FIRST... realistic, gritty... with a dark theme/atmosphere same as the dark knight movie...

if its successful then they build up to THE NEXT... but without the stupid/silly forced horror side story... just kill v3's sister and just replace it with a descent riderman story...

it would seem very nice to see our hero brought to life with the same effects to used in movies like iron man...

Then have a Power Rangers film, Vr Troopers and Beetleborgs film ,the latter playing out like Zombieland in a way.

Then have them team up like the Avengers, still beating DC's failure to create a shared universe although they have all their films in the same bag conveniently. Marvel had to work with different studios and they have done better.

im not talking about just a simple power ranger film... im talking about "remaking" KR into an adult mainstream film with the likes of THE DARK KNIGHT or IRON MAN... no direct connections with the childish PR franchise...

im talking about the big picture here... not just power ranger tv level...

of all the media franchises in japan, i find KR to most adaptable... im pointing about the film "THE FIRST"...you can replace the actor/characters with Caucasians and still follow the same plot/setting/props/effects/stunts of the movie, you'll have a good mainstream movie already... the setting/story is very much western-adaptable unlike dragon ball... A-list actors could still sell their "dramatic skills" by the main character/rider's contemplation about his "humanity"... if the franchise falls into the hands of a capable producer and/or director it could be a blockbuster...

Well, since you said "Saban could just co-produce it", one would assume there'd be some sort of PR tie-in, at some level.

Ok, I've finally gotten the chance to start watching W &, as far as I can tell, the series' that would work the best as American adaptions without changing much are Kabuto & W.

So far I've seen most of Ryuki, half an episode of Faiz, all of Kabuto, one episode of Den-o, all of Kiva, one episode of Decade, four episodes of W, half of OOO & roughly half of Fourze.

That I can see, Ryuki was already done, Faiz looks like a soap opera in style & it's a bit boring, the way Kiva is done is a bit confusing for some children, Den-o is a bit too silly, Decade encorporates an entire universe that Americans don't know **** about. OO's premise is just silly reguardless.

Not saying it couldn't be done with some rewrites, but Kabuto & W are probably the only ones that would catch on if they were adapted straight. Fourze would also be good if they made the Kamen Rider club a bit more invested in what is going on at their school, or at least Gen's American counterpart, & not so incredibly silly.

Honestly, I can see Den-O as a decent adaptation due its screwing around with time travel. The thing that's irritating about the Den-O time travel is that they don't travel that far into the past or future. That only occurs in the movies. A Den-O US adaption can do so much stuff with it.

Kabuto...it's an obvious adaptation...why? It has "evil space aliens".

W...can work...but you have to play the detective motif in a cool way.

Oh, besides the main character being the biggest underdog ever... I kind of forgot the first thing that struck me. If you did Den-o first in the US, it'd come under major attack for the fact that the main theme is selling your soul to demons to become stronger. Half the church would be up your ass in a minute.

I don't know reguarding W, though, it seems like the three main characters work real well & a lot of the humor comes from the main character trying way too hard to be a bad-ass & getting thrawted by Phillip & the crazy landlord chick.

Not to mention, you have several great storylines right from the start- main char trying to avenge his boss &/ or prove that he's just as good, phillip's family, the landlord thinking she knows what she's doing, etc.

Doing the whole random possession thing would be an interesting concept as the monster is holding an innocent hostage.

I also like the Fuuto Irregulars and the fact they do get into trouble when helping them; same goes for the police officers. In fact, Skull's "Irregular" ended up getting killed when he tried to help.

The landlord thinking she knows what she's doing, etc.

She should become Skull in the adapt.

I meant regarding the Den-o suit in general. The idea is that the hero has to allow himself to become possessed in order to get more power. If you used that idea in any way shape or form, you'd come under attack by any & all Christians who take themselves seriously. Catholics would be against it, Baptists might be more leniant & petacostals can be seriously dark regarding this kind of thing, but a lot of those churches allow their practitioners to decide right & wrong for themselves, so it's half & half there.

Anyway, you'd have to at least change that part &, who knows, it still might come under fire for that with something like "Only God can save you from the devil's influence, not some wierdo in a suit" from the serious ones. I know Superchristians tend to be rather dark regarding things from Japan.

If it were a few years ago, I'd agree...however, after Lightspeed Rescue (which constantly used the term demon) and Mystic Force; I think those groups would be a little lenient now; however, the show can't take it too far thought I laugh at the idea of the male monster possessing a female. Though Decade made it look creepy.

Yeah, that would be little awkard.
