I don't remember the specifics but I'm not a fan of the multi-OOO idea anyway. I think there's just one OOO and Toei simply does not care about continuity as much as fans do. :laugh:

As I understood it, Double's production team put the Foundation X/Medal scene in as a little nod to OOO. The OOO production team was under no obligation to make any use of Foundation X or anything from Double after that. Same with Fourze now.

I would question what the Double team/Toei was thinking by leaving such a big plot thread hanging at the end with leaving Foundation X intact, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they're not done with it yet.

I don't know how popular double was in Japan, I can only assume by equating it with Den-O, considering that they've kept making movies for the series. I figure that them leaving Foundation X around is just another way to further make movies with Double, milk the series. Maybe Kamen Rider W, farewell will be them going against Foundation X.

Except we've had 3 post series movies with W, and none of them involved Foundation X in the present at all, so, it doesn't seem like they even need Foundation X for future W stories. They only popped up in Eternal, which was a giant flashback.

Like I said earlier it could be used for a farewell movie, you know when the actors get tired of wanting to do Double. Use Foundation X to wrap up things.

The simple answer to all this is that the writers of OOO didnt care to use Foundation X or hoped that kids would assume that there somewhere in the background, funding Kougami. I mean how does a man, who spends most of his time baking cakes make money to fund such a research and build a massive army of Transforming Bikes and Cans?
