Food Allergies

My most serious food allergie is mainly tomato. Makes my face break out (zits) if I have something with tomato too often. Chocolate will make my face break out too if I have had something with chocolate too often. That would explain why my face was so bad back (one side had more than the other side did, that other side didn't have alot) during my Junior and High School days because of the tomato and chocolate, and of course the grease/salt in the potato chips & french fries (I don't eat them very often now...want to keep my face clean, not allergic to them).

I can only have something with tomato or chocolate once in awhile. I'm not allergic to chocolate though, maybe a little.

Also allergic to oats and yeasts. I can have something with oats once awhile.

I'm not sure if this counts, but when I eat potato chips, my face will break out with two or three zits popping out.

I can't eat fruits. My lips, tongue, and roof of the mouth tend to get itchy when I do.

But the fruits that I can't tolerate, but tolerate at the same time, are apples and bananas 'cause they are so fucking good.

I found out a few weeks back that I can't have fried rice (the kind you get at Japanese and Chinese restaurants) because it turns out that peas also contain a form of gluten. That pissed me off because I could live off of that stuff, lol. Although it's more probable to get it at a Japanese restaurant since they make it right in front of you.

I'm really surprised this thread has had such a great response. I mean it sucks that you all have to suffer from food allergies, but it's great to know I'm not alone. :)

I feel so sorry for you guys that can't eat fruits. My semi-lactose intolerance looks like a bad itxh compared to you guys. :(

I'm alergic to Shrimp.

I discovered this fact when I was 16 and working in a restaurant kitchen. I was asked to peel the shrimp, so I did, and my arms broke out in hives.

Thanks Chronotia! :)

Yeah, I know what you mean (BTW, it's good to meet someone else who has the same gluten problem that I do). I don't break out like you do, but I tend to get nautious and dizzy with headaches and have intense burning in the pit of my stomach to the point where I'm in tears.

I have to read labels all the time and my mom has even called up companies and had lists of all their gluten-free products sent to us. You even have to be careful because even if a list of ingredients doesn't say it contains a certain ingredient, like gluten or dairy, they tend to hide it under a different name.

You're welcome

my face use to break out A LOT whenever I have McDonald's or chocolate during my junior and high school years, which sucks.
but now, it doesn't happen anymore whenever I have them.
oh, I dunno if this counts, but if I ever eat chicken floss, I'll feel nausea.
