Megadeth - She-Wolf: Pure power from the thunderous stoccato of the opening riff to the melodic intensity in the last thirty seconds following the solo, She-Wolf represents the pinnacle of Megadeth's songwriting and really defines their style.

Iron Maiden - Wrathchild: A funkier, upbeat offering from the glory days of Iron Maiden. I still get goosebumps during the last seconds of The Ides of March when the cymbal crash leads into Wrathchild's shitkicking bass intro. The song is intensely driven, with Dave Murray's screeching guitar leading the way for the pounding rhythm, punctuated by Paul Di'Anno's wicked, throaty vocals. Classic badassery.

Dammit, there's a whole lot of my favorite Heavy Metal songs that's just too big for me to list. But the two are:

Iron Maiden - The Trooper; It has a catchy lead guitar and just a fun rocking tune that you can hum to.

and

Exodus - The Toxic Waltz; Heavy thrashing metal that never gets old. Enough said.

Scar Symmetry - Morphogenesis: This song really became a favorite of mine recently. I love the catchy metal riffs to it & this is one of those songs that makes this band fucking gold to me.

Wow... this is a seriously hard decision.

Metropolis Part I - Dream Theater Simply put, it's one of the songs that inspired me to actually want to get serious about playing music. It's melodic... it's heavy, it's complex. Plus it's by my favorite band... so I'm biased. The dudes in the band are cool as hell though.

The Genuine Pulse - Borknagar Everything about it is awesome... it's basically the best thing these nature-loving, pagan metal gods have put out. Well, sort of. There's a lot of good energy in this one. Something a lot of metal like this just doesn't have. It's not just fast and loud, it's got that something extra.

Rainbow - Man on the Silver Mountain: With Ronnie James Dio on vocals and Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, this is definitely one of the best fantasy songs ever written. Great for when you're playing D&D or Guild Wars.

Metallica - Seek & Destroy: Possibly the best thrash song ever. A killer riff, growling vocals, and a solo that will have you screaming in excitement!

Helloween - I Want Out: Great song for when you feel like you really need to escape.

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath: No matter how many times I listen to it, it still manages to scare the crap out of me.

I would have to say these are my picks....

Metallica- Metal Militia - It's fast, it's hard, it makes me want to break ****. The guitar solo is face melting awesome.

Motorhead- Ace of Spaces - I love Lemmy's growling vocals.
