Ever considered going on a break with gaming

Definitely! If we don't make breaks on a particular game we will get sick of it. So, no matter how good the game is, breaks are necessary so that we can go back to enjoy it fully as in the 1st day.

I completely agree with you on this, in as much as one loves a particular game it's very important not to get carried away by excessive playing it because it would get to the point where the game wouldn't be fun but a bore to the gamer. The time off helps the player to appreciate the game more when he or she gets back to it after a while.

I would think that people would take breaks from gaming at times in their lives -because they may be burned out or they have to get their work done as well. I even think gamers lock themselves into a certain niche at times-so you could maybe try a different style of game(because you have grown out of the old game) when you come back from your break from gaming.

Other life commitments are very much certain of getting a gamer to take a time off playing because at that particular point in time, the individual have no choice but to drop the game for another bigger event. I can remember when my uncle passed away, I couldn't bring myself to play for more than 7 long months.

Kids should be allowed to behave as kids, it's part of what allows them to grow up and become who they are. Getting them off so many things that would encourage their development is a very bad thing to do.

I agree that kids should be given a little amount of freedom when it comes to games in order to help them develop but care must be taken not to allow over do it because it's just how playing addiction kicks off and before you realize what is going on, they would be far away that bringing them back would be a very difficult task.

I totally agree with with your points here. Stress is not a good thing to have our always stuck in it. It can sometimes cause us health problems because we are not affording our brains and mind a good rest. So the breaks are beyond vital for our own good.

There was one particular period I got serious leg and back cramps from excessive gaming. Then I would go on at gaming for more straight 10 hours and when I try to seat up, both my legs and back would be very sour which kept me wondering if I was glued at the chair. This is very bad for one's health as it prevents free flowing of blood through the blood vessel and veins.

The good thing about taking breaks is that it makes you feel refreshed again after your come back. It gives you a more clear head and a perfect sound relaxed mind to play the game as if it's your first time playing it. This is exactly what taking breaks adds to my gaming experience.

This is so very true, with taking a break from playing over a long while when come back to the game, it would be as if you just started playing a whole new game. The only difference now is that you have a playing experience from which you can tap from and enjoy kicking ass with the game while you are still feeling fresh. The saying too much of everything is bad supports the assertion of taking a break when you have overplayed the game.

I am seriously considering because it is affecting health. And its not going to be a good thing for me long term. If you ask me. it is affecting eyes. Also it has made me gain weight. So surely I am going to go on break. And see if that resolves the issue with the health.

Someone's eyes isn't something that should be played it, if the excessive fixation of the eyes on the gaming screen is proving to be a problem for someone, then it's high time such person stopped playing the game for a while in order to be on the advantage side. About adding weight, you can easily handle that by hitting the gym.

Kids don't know when it's time to call it quit from playing in a day, if you as a parent doesn't stop them, they are going to be carried away by the playing and this affects them on the long run. As much as they need to game for their general development, care should be taken on how they are allowed to play.

Thanks for pointing out here what excessive playing caused you. Cramps on the leg is manageable but back pains if not careful taken care of would affect the person in old age, and all these would be because of playing games too much which is not worth it.

You said this perfectly and seriously I don't have much to add to it again but to say that what is good is good and what is bad is bad as well. Playing games too much over a long period of hours on daily basis is not good and taking breaks from time to time is a good way to help one's health condition.
