[GAME] Electrosaur Taskforce Kyoryuger: Shocking Bravery

Siva was impressed with Red's strategy. As the cracks spread and the monster struggled to move, Red charged in. Siva noted he had one remaining dinocell to fight with and so charged in with the cannon.

Easily timing his shots between Red's wild style, Siva smiled beneath his helmet. "Seems giving myself a handicap today was a wise idea."

Clearly frustrated with the sudden situation, Devos Meteor snarled in pain and rage. "How dare you lowly human's do this to me! Unforgivable! Now you'll really burn!"

Red hot flames gathered from all parts of its body and began to swirl at it's mouth as the steam increased. Siva fired repeatedly at the swirl but found it barely fazed.

"Uh... Red? What now?!"

Peppering the Devos Monster with blasts from her GaburiCannon, Shirley at first did not know what exactly it was supposed to do, as the blasts didn't seem to faze the monster.

Just what exactly does Red have planned? Our combined blasts are only pissing off this beast... Shirley thought, continuing to blast the monster with her GaburiCannon. However, she then noticed something happening to the monster the more she and the other Kyoryugers blasted it, causing her to squint some behind the helmet.

Wait a minute...is that monster starting to glow? I think I have a clue as to what Red wants to do... she told herself inwardly, gripping the GaburiCannon tighter as she continued to fire at the monster, noticing Red bust open a nearby fire hydrant to rapidly cool the Devos Monster's red-hot body. She stopped firing for a moment as she saw an incredible amount of steam being produced as the strong, cold spray made contact with the Monster's skin, causing the monster's skin to crack.

Taking the moment to separate her two weapons, Shirley put away the Gaburevolver, and switched her Gaburicalibur to normal as the monster gathered flames from all over its body into a swirl at its mouth. Watching Black try and take out the swirl with shots but ultimately failing, Shirley gripped the sword in a backhanded style and rushed in quickly, proceeding to slash away at the monster repeatedly. Despite the sparks indicating the damage she dealt at the monster, Shirley found herself swatted away rather easily by the monster, causing sparks to fly from her suit from that one hit. "GWAGH!" she yelped, feeling the pain from the hit as she rolled on the ground.

KyoryuRed’s strategic strategy lowering the infernal heat encasing the creature’s body breaking the nearby fire hydrant proven efficient Teimei credited him that much did not necessarily mean an assured victory. Drawing the Gaburicannon closer to her voluptuous bust did not follow in suit detecting that there was something quite off. Swerving out of the path of Devos Meteor’s retaliation of its damaged pride and armored pieced together by watching the others. Barely few minutes passed as the Kyoryugers were gathered together lacked what was needed most. Teamwork. “Only can get so far if we continue fighting like this…” Teimei muttered softly to herself rushing over to the fallen KyoryuGreen acting as a shield.

“Start pulling our own weight than simply relying on one person to do all the thinking that’s what.” Teimei answered Black's question repositioning the Gaburicannon focusing on the visible crack in Devos Meteor’s body. It was unclear at the present moment if KyoryuRed’s course of action derived from the natural occurrence when dealing with overly heated objects when subjected to coolant have something else up his sleeve or not. “Daijoubu?” Twisting her body offered a hand out to the fallen green-clad fighter, “Cooling that hothead down a few notches leveled the field down for us, but maybe we need to try something else than attacking all at once?” It was the best way Teimei put it without insulting Red’s action. Grasping Green’s hand firmly helped her comrade stand back up. “Like for example if we” indicating to Green “Focus on drawing its attention giving them an opportunity to strike that section on his armor.”

James hadn't even heard what the lady in pink had said, just like when they had started he knew his plan and as long as what he was doing as working it was good enough. He pushed down the Dinocell holders on both of his weapons, making them broadcast their usual messages as he ran toward the Beast who was still striking at the rest of them with it's claws and flames. With a powerful Dinocell powered shot he was propelled up into the air as his Gaburicalibur became engulfed in red electricity. This was a new move he hadn't quite tested yet, but it also happened to be their best shot. As he continued to fall he aimed his blade at the largest crack in the beast's armor.

He came down on the beast with a powerful downward slash, it's striking power amplified by the momentum of his fall. The now weakened armor practically shattered like glass as the sword went through it like a hot knife through butter. The beast exploded into a big fire ball as charred pieces of it began to fall from the air.

It was a win no doubts there, but it wasn't due to teamwork, as KyoryuPink had noticed the team didn't have much cohesion, they were all just attacking independently and hoping for the best. It wasn't the worst tactic but in the end it was largely luck that let James' plan work. That became all the more evident when his weapons ejected the spent Dinocells, including the one he used to transform, leaving him untransformed yet again. That monster had been stronger than anything he had faced, and his all out hit them hard and fast strategy didn't work as great with the stronger more resilient enemies. Still he would try to play it cool as he turned around to face them, collecting his drained Dinocells in the process. He slipped them into his pocket as he rested his Gaburevolver on his shoulder. "Looks like we got it handled." he said

Albert wasn't exactly one for close and personal combat at the moment, so, when he had a shot, he went ahead and fired again with the Gaburicannon, helping the others in defeating it, mainly helping to land in a shot to the area that was cracked along its body. Once it exploded, he had to keep up his earlier persona and went over to Pink and Green.

"Well, the vile beast is away now. Are you two ladies all right?" He tried to say in a gentlemanly tone, though he knew that he couldn't exactly act like this all the time, especially outside of his transformed state. That would be just...embarrassing.

Siva stared rather dumbfounded as Red recklessly destroyed the monster. An inch off either direction and Red would have been seriously hurt. Beneath the helmet his eyes widened as Red's transformation abruptly cancelled.

He shifted the Gaburicannon to one hand and listened as Red stated that "Looks like we got it handled."

"We? No... YOU got it handled. And nearly killed yourself in the process. Are you always so reckless?"

“Start pulling our own weight than simply relying on one person to do all the thinking that’s what.â€

"True but..." Siva trailed off, uncertain of what he wanted to say that wouldn't be an insult. "Bidā'ī" He offered with a curt wave. Siva then turned and calmly walked away from the others.

(OOC: Bidā'ī = Farewell)

"We? No... YOU got it handled. And nearly killed yourself in the process. Are you always so reckless?"

And here he was trying to share the credit only to have it thrown back in his face. Was this guy always this ill tempered. The grin faded into annoyed smirk with the black Kyoryuger's words. "Hey the thing was taken down, we won, that's the important part here. Been at this a while and I know what I'm doing out there!" he shouted as black walked off.

"Anyone else wanna spoil the mood?"

Meanwhile from a nearby rooftop Torin had been watching them. It was their first time fighting together but he couldn't exactly call it teamwork. Teams worked as one, this was more of a group that was all doing their own thing and while it happened to work this time, he knew it wouldn't work forever.

Having been helped up by Pink after getting knocked down, Shirley had glanced at Pink to acknowledge her help, and was about to get up and attack once more. However, at that point, she could only watch as Red finished off the monster himself, at risk to his own life.

What a crazy guy... Shirley thought, ignoring Blue's attempt at being a ladies' man as she approached Red, who had reverted out of his own armor.

"I appreciate you trying to share the credit, but...In this case it's better for you to have the glory all to yourself. It was your risky idea, and you were the one that finished it in the end. Now excuse me, as I have some work to do," she told Red, proceeding to walk away as well.

Guess I wasn't really needed here after all. Should've just stayed and finished my shift...

There were too many characteristics clashing even after the battle ended Teimei opted to remain silent avoiding creating further tension. Drawn behind Torin’s bewildering selection including her into the equation ponder what motivated him to seek them out to be the protectors of their world if they could not work together efficiently. The voluptuous redhead was remorseful behind Red’s efforts in moralizing their victory by sharing his true identity only to have it backlash by Black and Green walking away. Acknowledging the fact they were fortunate in defeating Devos Meteor lacked confidence that the next time will end the same. Sighing inwardly glance downwards ejecting the Dinocell from her weapons “You were right” Teimei offered James, “What cannot be disputed the importance of Devos Meteor defeat before any harm befell innocent people.”

Closing her hands around the two Dinocells nodded lightly face the blue clad Kyoryuger. His concern for both Green and she noted it also coming off what American describe a complete poser. “Vile beast? You’re trying way too hard there don’t you think? We’re fine thank you.” Walking around Blue patted him on the shoulder, “And if I may make a note on that subject too? Did not appreciate your subtle hint either, a person should not make such speculations based on first encounters. If you two do not mind shall be taking their example and get going myself.” Teimei paused looking at the two remaining “Green was right about one thing about you Red, but do not necessary agree. We cannot always live our lives being careful and there are things worth taking risks. I like that, Ja ne” Red had taken the bold step revealing his true self in front of them Teimei assumed did not feel open enough to share that with either.

The sweet taste of victory had been officially soured by this point, and considering everyone else was leaving James figured there was no point in sticking around. At least the gal in pink was trying to keep the moment upbeat. It was just his style to go in headfirst not thinking much about his own safety as long as he got the job done. "So I guess that's it until next time huh?" he aid taking a couple business cards out of his pocket and tossing them to the teammates that were still around, he had a small odd job business on the side in addition to his usual job and they kept things handy. "You guys feel like getting in contact with me my cell number is on there, now if you excuse me, I gotta go grab my dinner."

With that he too was off, pushing the criticisms of Black and Green out of his mind.

-------

Unknown to them the team had been watched since the beginning of the fight. Hidden within the reaches of Antarctica, several sets of eyes had been observing them since before Devos Meteor descended.

"For all that guy's big talk he was freakin useless! Pisses me the hell off." an angry voice, belonging to Dargold, the face of Fury. "I should have just gone out there myself!" as he struck the walls of the fortress with his sword.

"Such a tragic waste of a perfectly good soldier!" comically high pressured streams of water shot from Eigoron's eyes as he spoke. "Their strength is just too frightening!"

"Now now now, we'll have none of that! Always keep a smile on your face when times are tough." the third figure chimed in, Kandelra, who represented joy, who had such sunny disposition that it only served to anger Dargold, and sadden Eigoron further.

"Enough all of you!" the fourth figure shouted in a booming authoritative tone. Their leader, Hierophant Kaos. "Devos Meteor was a scout, a means to see what we are dealing with, and just as disposable." he explained to his underlings. "In his death we have gained knowledge, these Kyorugers are nothing bit a disorganized mob, bound together by nothing more than colored tights. We must continue to strike at them, eliminate them before they become an actual threat. Now, get out of my sight until you return with a Devos Monster capable of defeating them!"

With a nod from each they scrambled out of the chamber, prompting carrying our Kaos' orders.

-----

The night came and went without much incident, no new attacks from the Devos, preventing the team from going about their lives, an eventually allowing for a peaceful sleep. Night came an went it daylight had arrived once more.

So far it had been a rather normal day for James as he went it for work, though he kept himself on guard as usual. Once his lunch break arrived he snuck out of sight, and allowed himself to be transported to the Spirit Sanctum once again.

Once there he approached the charging box, reaching for the red slot marked with a number one. "These should be fully charged again." he said with a sigh off relief. Truth be told he had been a little anxious having used them all up yesterday, had trouble arisen again he would have been unprepared to handle it. Now that they were all charged up again though that wouldn't be a problem. He took a seat on one of the sanctum's benches as he brought out a sandwich that he picked up before work. Ever since becoming Kyoryured, he found lunch in the sanctum to be pretty nice considering the peace and quiet.
