Earthquake hits US, Canada

The entire surface of the planet has tectonic plates. The reason earthquakes happen is because two plates slip or shift or collide. Those areas where two plates meet can be referred to as fault lines. Areas near fault lines experience a far higher number of earthquakes on average.

So to sum up, its not God, My Little Pony or Decade that causes earthquakes lol.

I'm assuming the earthquakes are coming from the Caribbean edge rubbing on the South American ridge?

Or are the Atlantic and the Eurasian plates causing this? I'm confused.

I know about the plates but how can a movement of plates 1000's of miles away from the Eastern shore cause such earthquakes? I'm not really informed in this area.

This is true. Not sure where in Wisconsin, but there was report that a Tornado had struck down, but the area it happen for some reason none heard the sirens, this is being look into.

A tornado went on my road across my house when in was in third grade (2001-ish) and two others had came through my town which is pretty much a very small village that's legally drawn borders are outside it lol.

But the tornadoes are so spaced out year wise that its really nothing where the worst I have experienced being monsoon like weather or just plain inconsistent crappy days. It just sucks living in MI in general.
