Do you think Toei will ever put older Sentai stuff on Blu-Ray?

my problem with this is that if by any chance they do decide to re-release the older Vs. Movies on Blu-Ray, with the exception of say the last couple that where hopefully filmed with HD Cameras is if they will take the time to restore or in the case of even older Vs. movies like Kaku Vs. Oh is the framing for 1080p. Maybe I might be wrong and this is an easy thing for toei, but like I said: it's things to consider.

Of course, maximum is 1080P.

Blu-Ray Player? try a PS3, it does Blu-Ray movies too. and If you're going to get the Goseiger/W 3D Blu-Ray, it supports 3D Blu-Rays too.

Niiiiiiice.

But hey, PS3's are expensive my friend. lol I'm about to check out some prices for a B-R DVD player.

If it was on Blu-Ray would it be region free?

Yes because the US and Japan have the same region code for Blu-Ray.

I am so getting that!!!

As for the rest of the series, i can see it happening ... they may decide to sell it as a Blu Ray Boxset but mind you, its gonna cost lots of yen ... even more expensive than the Ultraman Cosmos Memorial Box coming out in July, maybe, no ?

You know what? I'll pay the cost to get DaiRanger on Blu-Ray as a complete series. Same goes for KakuRanger and GekiRanger. Hell, I'd probably rebuy all of the series from Jetman-TimeRanger on Blu-Ray if they were released in complete series sets along with AbaRanger. Cost won't be an issue as by then I'd be teaching and making three times what I am right now in retail. Not to mention I already bought both Gundam ZZ Blu-Ray setsf ro $400 a piece, so I'm willing to spend the money for something I want.

Wow, $400 ?! :O_O:

For that, i have to salute you :patriotic:

For me, i am 2 volumes short of completing Zyuranger and Fiveman is coming out in July ... Gah, i need a job ASAP :shakefist

Yep. I bought them a few months ago with my tuition reimbursement I got from work. I think the actual amount in $ I paid though only came out to like $732 for both sets. I miss the days when the yen was a lot less than the $, as in 2005 I probably would have only paid $500ish for them.

As for the current DVDs, I got all of ZyuRanger, but I need volumes 3-5 of Flashman and 2-4 of OhRanger, and then I would like to get MegaRanger, Maskman, Jetman, and Changeman.

^ Damn, thats hardcore !!!

As for me, i can't wait to snap up Fiveman once Vol. 1 and subsequent volumes get released ... After that, Liveman and Turboranger, perhaps if i have the money

Oh, how I would love to buy Sentai shows like Gokaiger & Vs. Movies like Goseiger Vs. Shinkenger on Blu-Ray. 3 to 4 reasons why:

1.) They probably wouldn't need too much discs to cram in all episodes, extras, etc. like DVD (probably debatable),
2.) I don't own any of the Sentai seasons on DVD yet,
3.) Blu-Ray discs are automatically Region-Free, &
4.) Full 1080p support. :) :castlerock:

Well it really depends. For older series, no, as like I said, they just need to upscale them and they can still cut the volume discs from 10 to 6, if not even less than that. After all, if Funimation can fit a 25 episode series onto 3 discs, then Toei can definitely get a 50 episode on onto 6.

2.) I don't own any of the Sentai seasons on DVD yet,

That is where you are lucky. I have a ton of them and will pretty much rebuy most of them if I can just so I do not have to deal with the region codes. Plus, a lot of them have been watched several times over the years, so I have gotten my money's worth of them.

Yep.

Like I said, I don't care if they are 1080P or not as I would be buying them for the lack of being region locked. It is the same reason I want Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters on Blu-Ray, so I can watch them on any player I have instead of having a special one just for region locked movies.
