Do you avoid watching bad seasons?

Yes, that and Agito were the last ones I need to get through for the 00's seasons. That made a difference?

Considering that most riders series after Kuuga took the same basic path and fleshed the general idea out yes it does. The long and short of it is, if you watched Kuuga earlier, you would probably have enjoyed it far more then if you had watched it after every other rider series. This is the same reason I didn't like Kiva, because it reminded me of the same old, same old that went on in every other rider series, but loved kuuga because the idea was new.

Fans forget, rather frequently, just how much of the basic Heisei Rider template was laid down by Kuuga.

The only thing Agito really added was a method of using multiple Riders and having them fight each other.

Me? I watch whatever I want to, regardless of what anyone says otherwise, mainly because when it comes to entertainment, I usually keep a positive outlook and always look for the good things, and every Toku I've watched had something for me to like
This is my stance on it too.

Also, what constitutes a bad series? Is it because you don't like it and thus everybody else must think it's bad? I mean, I don't particularly care for Go-Onger but I know some people do and I'm okay with that. The thread should be more like "do you avoid watching seasons that other people say are bad."

just to say if i was to go back and rewatch all the henshin hero shows iv watch over the years the for worst season are KR DCD Ultraman Cosmos Gaoranger and Magiranger reasons DCD dimension swapping i dislike Cosmos was the first Heisei Ultra i watch and it left a sour taste in my mouth for some reason
Gao good idea but bad execution[calling something 100 beast force and only use about 1/3 of that is bad magi good choice of music and ladies are the only 2 things like about this season

I watched ryuki because so many people loved it. While the first half was great, the second half was a disjointed mess with whacked-out ideas, character developements and wasted potential. It was like a donkey shooting projectile vomit into my face for 20 minute sessions for 25 days.

I watched Kabuto because everyone and their mothers were chirping about how fantastic the show was. I sat down, watched it, and the same thing happened. First half: good, second half: donkey dick. Now Kabuto didn't have as much as ryukis first half had going for it so the hype over it perplexed me.

I didn't watch Den-O for the longest time because I heard nothing but how horrible it was. I thought to myself "People who even liked ryuki's second half and Kabuto hated it!? this must be horrid!!" yet one day I sat down to watch it and I ended up loving the thing to death.

I watched Kiva expecting to watch Edward Cullens transforming into spawn to fight Orphenochs and.................I got Edward Cullens transforming into spawn to fight Orphenochs. but the last ten episodes were good so I can't discredit totally.

I don't care much for other peoples opinions reallistically. you have no idea how you yourself will view the intended material untill you watch it, hence talking too much out of what other people thought about a show is self-defeatist in a way.

I do like much of the concepts of Kuuga and Grongi, currently my favorites of the 00's Riders/monsters. That same reasoning is also why I'm more lenient on it, it was the first series in a while and had to test itself. Agito was the result of that testing.

The only thing Agito really added was a method of using multiple Riders and having them fight each other.
I thought Ryuki did that. Agito had the main three riders act pretty chill around each other, which was refreshing from how that changed later. Just Another Agito but he changed eventually.

The first thing Shouichi did when Hikawa confronted him in the G3 armor was kick the crap out of him. (Actually Hikawa's first upgrade came as a result of that.)

And Gills...well...he didn't like anyone. Still doesn't. Except his puppy.

Yeah, to me Ryuuki felt like the producers sat down and said "Hey, people sure liked that Agito show! You know what I bet people liked about it? When the Riders fought each other! Let's do a new show, and make it about nothing but that!"
