Do you avoid watching bad seasons?

why do you dislike Shinken go-on was funny
for me magi would be the only really bad season since the new high ratings age stated after carranger

Shinkenger just doesn't appeal to me, I dislike the characters and think it is highly overrated. But, as the OP says, there's a difference between "so bad it's good" (I'd say Hibiki falls into this category) and "so bad it really, really sucks" (like PRMF and OO)

If you hear a season of power rangers, sentai, kamen rider, etc. is bad by a good number of people do you just ignore it? I've heard a lot of negative comments about the disney era of power rangers which is when I stopped watching but I gotta say I love Dino thunder, SPD, and jungle fury. To be honest the more awful a show sounds the more I wanna watch it just to see how bad it really is.

It really depends on the last season I saw. Like after I watched Faiz I really needed a break because I didn't think anything would top it.

TV Tropes uses the phrase "So Bad It's Horrible".

Hibiki is hard to get into. But really, what got me interested in Hibiki was Todoroki visiting Blade's world in Decade. Just looked awesome, and the series did truly rock. Just got to be patient.

You wanna talk bad seasons, don't get me started on Kuuga

^ You couldn't anyway, because it's not a bad show.

I give shows (mostly Sentai, since this is the one I've dropped the most during this decade) a few episodes tops before letting it go. It's not delivering, it's the usual drivel, and I'm not wasting my time on it, especially when there are so many better shows out there.

The fact you can even put Hibiki/PRMF/PROO and Shinkenger in the same category is mind boggling.

A) Hibiki no seikai was awesome and totally took the GOOD from the Hibiki series and filtered out the bad boring bullshit. I seriously loved the ending fight scene where they did the medley finisher. Incredible ****.

B) Kuuga... bad?... are you fucking kidding me?.... Did you watch the entire thing?. Some of the best fucking fighting ever.

From what I recall, Kuuga had good fighting but bland characterization and story, mostly going through the motions with little bits given at times. Agito improved with characters but a slight drop for fighting.

Kuuga has probably the best scripting of any modern Rider show. I've heard people complain that it was slow, but never bland. When it was first coming out, the complaint was usually that it was too weird and there were too many bike stunts (!).

I'm a fan of Power Rangers until the end, so I'll watch it whether it's good or bad (that's including Wild Force, Mystic Force, etc etc). Why? Because there's usually at least something in the show that is worth watching. Every bad thing has SOME good in it, right?
