Which Anime Adaptations of Popular Manga Are Worth Watching First?

I've been getting into a lot of manga lately and am curious about the anime adaptations. I've heard mixed opinions about how closely they stick to the source material. Are there any adaptations you think are particularly well done or ones that could stand alone without needing to read the manga first? What do you think about series like "My Hero Academia" or "Tokyo Ghoul"?

"My Hero Academia" does a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of the manga, particularly with its character development and the dynamic action scenes. However, I found that "Tokyo Ghoul" struggled to maintain coherence in its adaptation. The pacing felt rushed, especially in the second season, which left out some key character moments that really deepen the story.
