Disney cancels top two soap operas!

I suspected that GH may be next on the "cancelled" list in not too distant future.

Seriously, People at Disney doesn't know how to running the business at all.

I agree with what a previous poster said. I doubt Disney has very much, if anything, to do with these two long running soaps getting cancled. Disney is just the parent company of ABC.

Just because Disney owns ABC it doesn't mean they have complete control over what gets aired and what gets canceled, or a say in it for that matter. Look at marvel, they're own by Disney but they still have control over their books and they decide what get canceled, mainly due to lack of sales.It could be ratings were just down for both shows and didn't look like they were going to pick back up any time soon so the head of what ever group he was working with decided to pull the plug, not to mention that running a five days a week show without any rerun or hiatus isn't all that cost effective now a days. At least they giving them time to wrap up their story lines and didn't just yank them off the air immediately.

Yeah, I agree that Disney probably had little to nothing to do with canceling those shows. It would sort of be like if a NBC show got canceled and the headline read, "General Electric Cancels [insert NBC show here]!"

Or is it GE and Comcast that own NBC these days? Who knows.

But remember people, if disney is at all involved(or even if they aren't), it's their fault... :anime:

This is bad news for all the Mothers and Grandmothers who need something to watch. I never thought this would happen but I guess all things must come to an end. What about "Days of our Lives?" Lol....

Still, there is no reason to replace it instead of move it to the Soap Opera channel. It makes absolutely no sense.

Sure it does. That channel is gone come January, so moving the shows over wouldn't change anything.
