The title Disney’s Action Figure Face-Off is actually pretty good. It sounds like something that could have been sitting on a shelf next to Disney games from that period. I like the idea that the characters are action figures because it gives Disney an excuse to put completely different worlds together. The concept art choices are also much better than I expected. Beast vs Captain Hook makes sense, but Ursula vs John Silver is the one that got my attention. Treasure Planet does not get enough love, so seeing Silver in a fighting game would have been cool. I also like that the artists were clearly allowed to think beyond the safest choices. If this had become a real game, I would have wanted the roster to keep going into Disney villains, side characters, and forgotten movies.
