Precisly, I'm watching it, out of sheer curiosity, and to find him suddenly revealed with no build up or anything outside of possesing some guy was like "Wow, that was out of nowhere", the resolution with the global shots of the Digidestinedwas there, I'd have kept that in as its' a great scene, but the ending with the now freed soul dying and the Digidestined crying over some loser they barly knew outside of flashbacks told to them was ridiculous. They'd feel sad yeah, a little grateful he saved their lives, but go all

In the early episodes, I felt it could've been much better if Ken was a permanent adversary, then discovers love makes the world go 'round in the finale specifically, with Wormmon being his voice of conscience, finally evolving out of love for his matser, but maitaning a secret identity in his evolved form helping out the Digidestined take down Kens' operations, then sacrificing himself at the end against what was influencing Ken, snapping him out of it, or something more. It should NOT have ended after only a few episodes.
Tamers revitalised the concepts because it had to, otherwise we'd be subjucated to the same repetitive ****, "big bad Digimon", can't happen, the lines have to be blurred more, no way of knowing who to trust on both sides, or cope with having a Digimon secret from the world, or learning theres' more beyond battling, thats' why Tamers works above every single one of them
Conincidently, mad props for just mentioning Myptismon as the big bad, as he largly was during the grand scale "DigiInvasion of Earth", when I hear people talk about 02 bbeing "great" and then I watch
those episodes, I just roll my eyes.
