Name: Spike Sugimura
Age: 14
Hair: Black, unkempt.
Eyes: Blue
Digimon Partner: Penguinmon
Digivice Colour: Purple
Appearance: Spike retains his British mother's light flesh and iris colours but the angle of his eyes and the colour of his hair is inherited from his father. Spike has what is considered a scrawny build, which he uses to his advantage when making quick escapes. When not dressed in his school uniform (which is always dishevelled), he tends to wear baggy clothes, his favourite ensemble consisting of a tartan shirt open over a white, green or Union Flag T-shirt, jeans with a tartan patch on the right knee and fastened by a rainbow-striped plastic belt with a silver clip-down buckle, black winkle-picker shoes and green fingerless faux leather gloves.
Family: Kogoro Sugimura (father), Violet Sugimura (mother), Derek ‘Danielle’ Duke (uncle and mentor, prefers ‘aunt’)
Bio: The best way to describe Spike based on first impressions would be, ‘the local crook,’ which is how his teachers and immediate peers so eloquently put it. A devious confidence trickster, Spike never needed to beat money or answers out of anyone because his impish smile and friendly demeanour are almost impossible to refuse. Though one might guess him to be callous and calculative, Spike does have a flexible code of honour all his own and will use his charming wiles to help others out of a tricky situation, even if it is only to sneak a few cents out of their pockets later. His father, Kogoro Sugimura, is a Lieutenant in the Angel Grove Police Department while his mother, Violet Sugimura, makes her living as a bartender at her older brother Derek’s nightclub, an ever-so-slightly seedy establishment on the outskirts of town. Due to the long-standing association between sister and brother, Spike spent a lot of time over the past few years among his transvestite uncle’s equally outrageous companions. Anyone who finds out about this tends to look at him with suspicion but it was through them that Spike learned all the tricks to being a good con artist.

Theme: Deep Savers; creatures associated with the sea.

Ultimate: Namazumon (derived from a monstrous catfish in Japanese mythology which is believed to be the cause of earthquakes)
Type: Aquatic Beast Man
Attack(s):
His arms are mostly carried over from Depthmon but are harder and designed for defensive manouvres. His feet are bare and have three clawed toes each. His tail is long like an eel's and ends in an aquamarine fin. He has a larger dorsal fin of the same colour on his back. He wears no clothes per se but has what appear to be a wide-sleeved hauberk and trousers constructed from oily dark blue scales linked together like chain-mail, the latter of which is fastened by a brown belt with a big gold buckle and the former of which is decorated with a downward line of brass buttons.
Mega: Medusamon (derived from the medusa family of cnidarian, to which belong several creatures related to the sea anemone, upon which he is physically based)
Type: Aquatic Beast Man
Attack(s):
He is dressed in a black 19th century British Naval uniform, which carries over the belt and buttons of his Ultimate level (the lapels and trim of which are lined with writhing, white tentacles), brown leather boots and white gloves. His attire is topped by a dark blue two-tier cloak (also lined with tentacles) and an admiral's hat from the same historical period as the rest of his ensemble. He carries his weapons-of-choice, two crimson-and-gold flintlock sword revolvers, tucked in his belt.
Similar to his Ultimate level, Medusamon appears to be incredibly slimy, though this does not contribute to his special attacks at all.

Ultimate: Namazumon (derived from a monstrous catfish in Japanese mythology which is believed to be the cause of earthquakes)
Type: Aquatic Beast Man
Attack(s):
- Cannon Squall - uses hydrokinesis to generate a ball of water between his hands which can then be thrown. It breaks apart once it reaches the target but is delivered with enough force to cause damage on impact.
- Malestrom Magnet - uses hydrokinesis to generate a ring of rapidly moving water which pulls targets within a set distance towards him.
- Slippery Spill - tenses his muscles and sprays the oil which oozes from his pores to spread over the battle-field, making the surface harder to stand up on, the disadvantage being that this is not limited to just selected targets.
His arms are mostly carried over from Depthmon but are harder and designed for defensive manouvres. His feet are bare and have three clawed toes each. His tail is long like an eel's and ends in an aquamarine fin. He has a larger dorsal fin of the same colour on his back. Mega: Medusamon (derived from the medusa family of cnidarian, to which belong several creatures related to the sea anemone, upon which he is physically based)
Type: Aquatic Beast Man
Attack(s):
- Torrential Force - uses hydrokinesis to call up a huge sphere of water above his head which is then launched with great speed at the target.
- Hailing Hard Roe - takes a deep breath and spits out a glob of roe (or fish eggs) which sticks to the target and detonate either simultaneously or successively depending on the mental command.
- Buccaneer Blast - two bolts of yellow offensive energy fired from his flintlock sword revolvers, near-identical to Beelzemon's Double Impact technique.
