Digimon Scanners RPG Thread

When they were far from whatever had worried the bunny-like digimon, Lunamon was like an open book telling Karen about what she knew of the digital world and what they should avoid unless there was no other choice. Personally Karen could not picture Lunamon fighting something was twice her size. That very thought made Karen a little protective of her newly found friend.

As the two moved further Karen heard a strange beeping sound coming from the digivice strapped to her waist. “Lunamon…you wouldn’t know what to make of this?†referring to the beeping sound that seem to doubled. Moving to rest on top of Karen’s head stared down as the tan-skin young girl removed the device so that both may view the LCD screen.

Lunamon’s face scrutinized until breaking into a full grin “Friends…at least I hope.†pointing forward “In that direction!†Why did that last part didn’t sound promising? Never the type to dwell long on such worrying Karen started walking following the bleeps on the screen.

“There’s only one way to find out. Nothing vnture nothing gain.â€

((Sorry I've been so slow with this guy's, had my final exams. They're all done Now! @tigerhawk21 Dylan does not know Dragomon, however that moment will become significant in the future.))

Dylan couldn't stand the fighting and ran to position in front of Cherrymon, interrupting the attempts the others were making.
"Cherrymon, we're your friends, we don't mean you any harm" screamed Dylan. The Cherrymon stopped rampaging for a second and then laughed, his arm swiped into the body of Dylan, airlifting him into a fall with an audible impact.
"He... he got me... b-but. I'm his friend, I'm natures friend."
Dhumon was not standing for this anymore and taped his arms, as you would when yo uroll up your sleeves.
"That's it." exclaimed Dhumon, "no more mister nice plant!"

((Not dead yet dangit! NOT DEAD YET! I'll hijack Cherrymon and get some action going.))

Metamon and Brian took off into the woods toward the fridge tree, on the way they crossed path with a human and Digimon pair who had just gotten on the scene.

"Sorry! No time to talk! Running to fridge tree! Watch out for Cherrymon!" Called Brian, wavng at the pair.

"Sorry!" Added Metamon "METAL BALL!" and with that he marked one of the nearby tree.

Behind him Brian could hear Cherrymon laugh and roar.

The Digimon contemplated the human in his hand and with anger tossed him right toward that new whippersnapper that had insulted him! The attacks from the rookies were nothing but the words were cutting.

"I'll teach ya a lesson in respect! All of you! Time for a spanking!" He declared angrily.

OOC: well here's my first post. just fill me in when you can

So it just another lazy day in Kansas, but Jake Avian, a pilot's son, was never one to lie around. He ran around, playing with his sister and havind fun chasing birds, wishing he could fly just like them. Little did he know that from that day on, his life would never be the same...

He was just wandering around, when he discovered a rather large knothole in one of the trees around his house. He'd never noticed it before, and it intrigued him. He stuck his head in and was astonished. "That's a long way down for just a knothole" He said in surprise. All of a sudden, his sister Julia came running near him playfully "Hey!, what are you doing, Jake?" "It's nothing, just run and play, sis" Jake responded. "Ohhh, come on! let me see!". She then ran and bumped into him, accidentally knocking him inside. "Big brother!"

"aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!" Jake just yelled as he was falling down, and he ended up in a strange, and colorful place, that he was totally unfamiliar with. "Where am I? Never thought the inside of a tree would look like this". He looked around, taking note of how he was apparently in a big forest, but something was off. No forest had colors or shapes like this. He wondered if he was dreaming. Then he reached into his pocket and pulled out a weird white device. "What the heck is this? It's not a cell phone or a music player, that's for sure. Maybe it's some kinda toy or something like that. Eh, maybe I'll somebody around here"

Soon after he said that, something pounced on him from a bush. It was a furry purple creature with tiny black wings and a red triangular jewel on its forehead. "Hi, I'm Dorumon! nice to meet you!" it said. "What are you? and where am I?" Jake said nack. "I'm a Digimon, or Digital Monster, and you're in the Digital World" "Huh? A m-m-monster? Yahhhh! Don't eat me!" Jake said as he started to run away. "Wait! I just want to be your friend!" Dorumn called

He kept on running, but the "monster" chased him until he found himself out of the brush, among a bunch of other kids with creatures like the one he had, who were fighting what looked like a giant cherry tree with a mustached face. The creature, Dorumon, jumped right on top of him, stopping him right there. "Hey, you guys are humans! could you explain to me what's going on here and why I have this purple guy is following me? Also, why does that tree have a face"

Indeed, as the pink D-Scanner rang out its findings, its purple counterpart was doing the same, as two bodies came crashing out from the trees towards an inevitable impact with the running girl and her lop-eared companion.

Earlier…

If anyone had found his arrival in this strange dimension of pixels and bytes to be a burgeoning parade of opportunity, it was Spike Sugimura. When he had opened his eyes for the first time and beheld a reality sustained by unseen rendering programmes, he was somewhere to the south of the Digital Forest, in the seafaring economy of Port Town, a shipping village which was wealthy from its trades across the vastness of the Net Ocean. He was the subject of stares and mumbles, and that was nothing new though it was a surreal experience to be thought of as, “odd,†by such entities as chattering pot-plants, fish adorned like Egyptian merchants and even the occasional miniaturised dinosaur. He had met the ‘mon who would become his constant friend and companion whilst hiding from the town authorities in a run-down inn, after using a game of Thimbelrig to trick innocent -- or perhaps ignorant? -- passers-by into handing over their hard-earned Digi-Dollars, only for his ruse to be discovered by a passing police-‘mon.

Y’know Spiky old chap, he remembered thinking to himself later on, causing public confusion by shouting, “Good heavens! The sky is falling!†was not one of your better escape plans.

Penguinmon, himself on the run for having caused a stir in a gambling den by cheating the manager at a round of knucklebones, found a near-immediate affinity for this boy who, despite being the definition of extra-terrestrial, was a fellow scallywag. Apart from the need to fill in a few gaps here and there, he was thankful he did not have to spend half an hour reciting everything he knew about the Digital World because the kid seemed to have clocked on to a lot of stuff already. The purple D-Scanner’s sudden alarm ring served as an excuse to stop hiding and go in search of greener pastures, though they could have done without it also giving away their hiding place to their pursuers.

Presently…

“GANGWAY!†Spike yelped as the space between himself and Karen grew rapidly smaller. “RASCALS COMIN’ THROUGH, DON’TCHA KNOW?!â€

CRASH! BANG! TWOKKO!!!

OOC: Apologies for the silence from my end. Was called away for a funeral and just returned to town.

--------------------------

Dragomon gave a surprised yelp as Cherrymon not only threw him off, but with a mighty swing of his hand had sent the smaller digi flying through the air at high speed.

Flapping his wings desperately, Dragomon managed to catch a slight breeze and began to glide, his focus resuming on Cherrymon... only to smash face-first into a toaster tree.

Aeron dashed over to his partner and shook him "Dragomon! Wake up! You-"

"Ugh... huh? Aeron?" Dragomon stood wobbily "I'm fine... really." He pushed his partners hands away and rubbed his back.

((Can we get rid of Cherrymon now, we're kind of stuck at this point going in circles and that's probably why no ones poste din ages, they're waiting for Cherryon to actually be defeated so we can move this on))

Dylan looked around as Dhumon took a fighting stance, he felt helpless as the tree Digimon continued his rampage.
"Dhumon... I don't want to fight him"
Dhumon turned round to his partner and urged him to look around;
"Dylan, look around you, the nature here is being destroyed by Cherrymon, don't you love keeping the harmony of the world? We can't preserve that harmony unless we fight for it, Cherrymon poses a threat to that."
Dylan looked around to see several Gekkomon crying, one even rubbing it's bruised knee.
"Dhumon, only do what you have to, let's fight for this world!"

With Lunamon acting both her eyes and convenient shade Karen was able to monitor the flashes of bleeps. The tan-skin young girl could not help wonder if this oddly device did anything other the location of objects tested that theory by pressing the other buttons. “Lunamon can I ask you something else?†she spoke, “Do you know exactly what this….†her conversation was trailed off hearing not only the bleeps on the monitor ping louder, but something in the distance growing increasingly as loud.

Lowering the device back down the two stared cautiously towards the direction of the ruckus. From the thick of the trees emerge a boy with black unkempt hair running from thing accompanied by a penguin looking digimon right on his heels. “GANGWAY!†Spike yelped as the space between herself and Spike grew rapidly smaller. “RASCALS COMIN’ THROUGH, DON’TCHA KNOW?!Both Karen and Lunamon open their mouth raising one hand to tell them to stop came all too late. After that everything black out until the bunny-like digimon shook her head to see the pile up of bodies with Karen’s eyes spiraling. Gasping Lunamon’s hands covered her own mouth walking around in a circle.

“That….ooww…..tha doesn’t look right.â€
