Dick Grayson, confirmed as the new Batman?

Morrison isnt out of control, but hey, the cliched, whiny little petty internet LOVES to pretend people are assholes or self-indulgent without knowing the full facts.

Marvel have produced much dumber comics these last few years, I've all but ditched them as a credible company as a result, and so should anyone with a brain-cell.

The reality is that Batman's had one of the better directions out of the top two lately because it's character hasnt been devalued by "shock value" characterisation. Bruce went into RIP with his rep intact, and he came out of with his rep intact and enriched, with his entire history consolidated logically into his life.

But hey, go ahead, moan and bitch that a story ten times more cerebral than shite like "Secret Invasion" has drawn the exact amount of attention in the good and bad sense it was designed to. If you don't like it, don't read it, or alternativly, you can get off the high horse and enjoy a fresh Batman for once, because we all know Bruce will be back. Nobody is out to make his replacement permananet, it's all about the story. Do the fans who recognise this all a favour, and just enjoy it. Stop whining about the politics, or who's writing it, if you don't "get it", the majority don't care.

I see...

Dick - Batman
Tim - Batman
Harvey Two-Face - Batman (Seriously?! :buttrock:)
Jason - Batman with two guns
Kathy - Batwoman
Alfred
Tommy Elliot? There is Hush Bandages wrapped around Elliot's left leg.
Damian Wayne
Harley Quinn

And also, I see a dead person's arm under the wood box. I wonder who is that. Heehee.

Interesting. I like that. I'm looking forward to see this.

My hopes:
Harvey becomes Batman
Damien is Robin (pretty sure thats been confirmed already)
Alfred becomes a crime fighter
Harley Quinn goes to the good side like the Riddler did.
Jason fucks off and does something original for once in his career.
Dick becomes Red Robin
Tim leaves and goes on a journey to find himself (and returns sometime later all grown up)

here is what i WANTED to happen or thought (**** i cant believe grayson will be batman)

Batman: Tim Drake
Nightwing: Dick Grayson
Red Robin: Jason Todd
Robin: Damien
thats what i wanted, here is what i thought was going to happen

Batman: Dick Grayson (looks like i got that right)
Robin: Damien
Red Robin: Tim Drake
Nightwing: Jason Todd

Oh, I think fans get it, and that's why they realize that it's rubbish. I understand the story clearly without having to read through a second time, but I don't like my Batman comics to feel like an acid-trip. It's too convoluted. He's treating the book like he's writing some psychological thriller...yeah, you would think that would fit in well in the Bat-verse, but it (RIP) just seemed to drag and the conclusion was hardly satisfying. I plan on picking up the book again once Quitely comes on board, but ONLY because he's probably my second favorite artist of all time. If the story is good, then great, that's an added bonus. I just won't hold my breath.
