trueThis is Grant Morrison here, he practically thinks everything is non-canon unless he wrote it. I highly doubt Morrison would refer to that little stint back then when writing that piece of dialogue.
You need to read Morrison's storylines a lot more thoroughly if you think that. He is NOT referring to Dick breifly taking over in the 1990s, Morrison's futures usually relate to what he's writing in the present. Damien's future, currently, until there's another crisis, is the set-peice for the future of the D.C universe as far as Batman is concerned.
This can be changed of course. For example, it's the future Jean Grey that changes the past in his final New X-Men arc, where as Scott originally left Emma, Jean plants the thought of embracing Emma into his head so he doesnt leave the X-Men.
It helps when some fans can embrace change even for a little while.
From a publication standpoint, it probably is. When Marvel killed off Steve Rogers, there was no writer walking out of the company over it, and Cap's title itself just shrugged and moved forward beyond issue 25.
No wonder. Damien's future is badass
i can embrace it. its just weird seeing a guy who you grew up knowing as batman, is now gone? idk its just diffficult to embrace. after a couple of issues ill be ok.
