saw this last night and I must say it's been a long time since i sat through a movie which had action from beginning to end.

Excellent flick.
 
Would someone who didn't like the first Transportter like this?

It seems interesting, but I'm saving my coins for The Protector.
 
It's nothing like The Transporter other than Jason Statham starring; it's a total 360 in terms of style, pacing, and overall theme. The Transporter is like a watered down, politically correct, race-friendly, non-violent comparison to Crank.

And don't go see The Protector, the Weinsteins don't need anymore money. You can buy the Tom Yum Goong DVD for about as much as you'd spend on a ticket.
 
That is true, I creamed my jeans when he 720'd the guy in Ong Bak with his legs on fire.
 
Funny, friend and I were raving about that just yesterday in anticipation for The Protector.

Is Tom Yum Goong better than Ong Bok?
 
Ya'll might hate me for this, but i didn't like Crank. Action was good, but stupid as well. I thought both Transporter films were great.

I think it is, if for no other reason than the setting and the different styles of traditional Muay Thai used. It's mainly more of the same, Tom Yum Goong is a little more far-fetched, but it's amazing to watch and isn't as claustrophobic as Ong Bak.
