Crank 2: High Voltage

Just got back from the movies.

It was pretty good. Poor Abaddon was highly offended, but I didn't think it was that bad. I mean....what do you expect after the first movie?

In any case I got to see Statham's bare ass fucking some tart and yelling nasty dirty things to her and that's enough for me. :anime:

How can some one get offended at a movie?

How can some one get offended at a movie?

LOTS of people get offended at different movies...

I think it was just too gorey for her (oddly enough even though she's seen Saw), and when she was in one of her school classes they showed a video on the media objectifying women in music videos (being scantily clad/naked) or something, so she had a hard time with all the naked crack whores.

She'll have to explain it better.

Oh ok. I guess I just find it hard to be offended at something like this. Sorry if what I said sounded mean or anything.

Some people can get offended by anything. Indians were offended by Slumdog Millionaire just because it had Slumdog in the title, retards were offended by Tropic Thunder because of the Simple Jack joke, a lot of people were offended by 300 well because come on it was a pretty unintentionally racist movie.

No, not mean at all. It just wasn't my kind of movie. I mean, though I found it a little gorey (not excessively so) and stupid, I did enjoy the first one. I was expecting kind of the same idea with the second. But I think they took everything up to a whole new level. The first movie walked the line for me but I saw the merit in it. I don't mind gore and sex and stuff if there is a point. In fact, I don't remember there being excessive naked women in the first one. I remember a lot of blood and death and then the one sex scene.

This however just actually made me sick. No word of a lie I felt nauseaus leaving the theatre. Of course, that could have been the special effects too. I know there were a few times that when his face went all crazy and stuff it threw off my motion sickness a little. Though it wouldn't have lasted for the whole movie. Over all I did enjoy a lot of it, but there were enough part of the movie that left a bad taste in my mouth that I know I will probably never watch it again.

The fact that the whole movie was just shock value was a good reason. MANY unneeded scenes that set me off that were there for no reason other than filler. I was describing the things that upset me to my fiance this morning and he was just like O_O. "It sounds like the director has some major ADD or something." Which is a good way to describe it. By the time we got home and I saw that it had only been an hour and a half I was like holy crap. Because through the whole movie I felt like it was FOREVER and I kept wondering when we would get to the end.

As for the naked crack whores that Faded mentioned...lol...there was this video I watched in Pop culture that STARTED on objectification of women in music videos. Then it started showing the effects of this 'evil new trend'. Now, I really don't agree with the man in the video when he says that it's the fault of music videos but the way it showed men in real life treating women made me sick. Now whenever I see women like that I get all upset because I think of what I saw in the video. It actually showed men ripping women's clothes off in a public parade and etc etc, various things that got worse. BUt it showed the looks on the women's faces and I seriously cried in class. It was HORRIBLE and when I think of it I get REALLY upset. So seeing all of that in the movie was upsetting, as well as the useless gore and all the scenes in there for nothing other than shock value and no real purpose...well yeah. Highly offended. lol.

And yeah, I realise the first was a bit for that, but once again...second went above and beyond to me. I see where the enjoyment is though and there were a bunch of scenes I found funny. I don't regret going because I had a lot of fun with Faded and her sister, but just...wow.

I did also like seeing Jason Statham's bum! LOL I wish he would have been having sex with someone OTHER than Amy Smart though.

I can see how it might upset you, but to me it's just a movie. I go to movies to get away from real life. I try not to over think them.
