Could Power Rangers continue without Sentai?

If they can create their own set of Rangers (they've done it b4 with Titanium Ranger in Lightspeed) and their own set of Zords (.......have yet to see it done, but it's clear they can create their own Zord battle footage), then PR can continue without Toei juicing out Sentai series.

The idea of using the older Sentai series and creating new footage to juice out new PR series is great as well. Considering Sentai did really begin in the 70s, Saban has an entire catalogue to choose from for additional PR series should Toei decide to put Sentai on hiatus.

The only interesting thing I can take from this idea of using pre-Zyuranger series for new PR shows is..........how in the hell would Saban be able to play off a "Battle Fever J" adaptation? Look @ the suit designs for the Battle Fever J suits.......do you expect any PR fan to take that seriously?

They did in the MMPR Movie but instead of using models, they used CGI.

About the topic, they can survive without the using Sentai footage. Heck, look at The Mystic Knights of Tir na Nog something, something...

That still wasn't considering "their own zords." They were basically CGI imitations of the Kakuranger mecha........although uniquely different from the actual Kakuranger mecha, that is what they were still based off of

You see? They can survive without using the Sentai footage. Honestly, I'm very tired of Power Rangers being copy off from the Sentai footage, knowing that it's already badass. During the early saban era, of course.

They can DO it!

Yeah ugly ass CGI that made my eyes bleed. Mystic knights was a new show. It also was a failed show. For you guys that keep saying they could please look at what saiko said.

I think it can, for many reasons. But first off, in my opinion at least, Power Rangers is an adaptation of Super Sentai. So while they can continue calling it Power Rangers if they make a show from scratch, it's not really "Power Rangers". Anyway, here is the list :P

1. There are 15 series that haven't been adapted yet. While the footage is basically unusable, look at what Disney did with Go-onger. They just took the suits and refilmed a LOT. They also have so many suits to choose from. The Zords are the only thing that may need to be redone. But other than that, they still have the suits at their disposal.

2. Make a brand new series, while I don't think it will be "Power Rangers", they CAN still just make it and call it that.

And worst case scenario they can end the series in a "Power Rangers Decade" kind of way. Minus Tommy :loltongue:

Oh, no, no, no, no, no. It was entirely american-based. Jungle Fury proven that! Jungle Fury has spirit rangers and how can you say that they were still based off from the sentai footage?

It has already proven that PR can survive and will go on without having to using the sentai footage. MMPR movie has already proven that to us and you dare to speak that they are still based off of the sentai footage? Think again, my friend.

Even in CGI........THEY WERE STILL KAKURANGER MECHA!!! Quit denying it

Now, if the CGI made zords looked like something completely different......then we're talking but. But it was clearly, CGI KAKURANGER MECHA!!!

The spirit rangers that were based off of the auxilery Gekiranger beasts? That looked less quality than the regular suits?

And the MMPR came out at PR's height, that will rarely be done again for a full season . It can be done but will be pricey, with not just the usual hiring but having to design and make your own suits and fight footage. You usually see that for shows aimed at older audiences, not kids. Adapting cuts out much of that.
