Could Power Rangers continue without Sentai?

In the event that Toei decides to finally end Sentai, do you think it would be possible for Power Rangers to continue?

I made a comment awhile back saying, "Power Rangers can continue without Sentai", unaware if this was true or not. I know Power Rangers and Sentai are basically two different universes, but without Sentai Power Rangers would have never happened. Which is why I ask if it can continue without it?

There are about 11 or 12 Sentai series that hasn't been adapted, and with descent enough designs that could make a good Power Rangers season (my opinion). However, using the original Sentai footage wouldn't work out well (outdated, choppy, etc etc). In such a case, we would use our own footage. Or just create our own designs and props (much like what they did for the MMPR movie, but better).

I think it goes without saying that it could. But would anyone? I highly doubt it.

If it were still in Disney's hands, I'd probably say no...but Saban certainly has enough money for him to do his own, original PR series if he wanted too...

Correction, there are 15 Sentai that could be adapted... (Goranger-Jetman). But on the topic of the actual question? I think that Saban would end the franchise with grace in-Space style. There would be no merit without having the back-up footage from a sentai to cover them.

qft.

It definitely could be continued but I dont think it would be. The appeal of PR is cost of production. It can be kept low because Saban does not have to produce suits or sets. They borrow it from Japan.

Agreed, but let's imagine Toei decided to make an announcement saying that what comes after Goseiger would be his final Sentai. Then what?

In the Licensing Expo interview with Eri Dekel, he said Saban and his new team believe Power Rangers could go on for another 10-15 years (assuming it is successful on Nick). Now, it's unclear whether they would still believe it that without Sentai or not...

10-15 years? It's too soon to say that ever since they just got PR franchise back from Disney, so we have to see if it's very successful, then you can confirmed that it will be around for pretty, pretty long time.

I do believe that it can go on without Sentai, no doubt. Look at Super Sentai, they've been around that long enough...long before my time! So it's time for PR to do the very same. I have good faith in Saban. We don't need to copy off from Super Sentai.

Correction, they have a vision of it continuing for at least another 10-15 years.

They could. If they found out by chance, I'm sure Saban would try and buy rights to the previous unused Sentai suits like Dairanger, Liveman, etc and create all original content for each show. It wouldn't last very long but they could grind out some original PR seasons.

I don't think PR would continue if Sentai ended since creating completely original with props and such is very costly especially with how bad the economy is right now hence why production stays in NZ. Like said above if PR were to end from that it be in an epic In Space style.
