Chousinsei Flashman - Talkback/Questions Thread

Forever Knight

I finished watching the first episode and I enjoyed it. The title of the ep was "Hurry!, The Earth we rescue" and boy did they mean it. It felt a bit rushed but in no way was that bad. It felt more like they jumped right into the battle and that's what I like to see.

I'm a big fan of Heroes that are shown on other planets and in space so this one really caught my attention. I liked the assembling between the heroes and their vehicles on their home planet Flash Star.

I can already tell I'm gonna like Jin/Red Flash the best. He's got that badass voice that you just don't wanna **** around with.

For some reason Bun/Blue Flash reminds me of a young Geki/Tyrannoranger. :eyebrow:

The music was pretty good, it's got that heroic style which is always awesome. I noticed some really awesome guitars kick in a little before their henshin. The OP theme/Instrumental version totally kicks ass too. I just had a question (*shock*) does the music get darker in the series kinda like Changeman's "Sensun no Ginga"? I freakin' love the dark music.

At first sight I wasn't a big fan of the Flashman suits but now that I've seen them in action they look great. Pure '80s kick ass cheese.

Looks like these Heroes have Special powers aswell without having to henshin. I wasn't a fan of Pink Flash's leg moves there but it's still leaps and bounds above MagiPink's salt shaker & fan.

Onto the Villians, these guys seem even more of a threat that the Gozma. Lar Deus looks really creepy, from pictures I thought it would be a female kinda like Grandenne but I was wrong.

Wanda.... Wanda.... Wanda.... For the love of God this actor just won't leave me alone lol. I'm so glad that he is doing a villian in this series. I've enjoyed everything I've seen from him in Fiveman, Jetman, and Dairanger.

Weapons, the Rolling Vulcan is one cannon I don't want to piss around with. I guess it's safe to say that Timeranger's cannons were a tribute to the '80s Cannons. I love these kind of weapons they clearly pack a punch.

What was the disc that Mag dropped in the shuttle? and you know this question was coming but when does the first arc begin and when does the darker, epic, and dramatic aspects kick in?.

All in all I have high hopes for Flashman, especially coming off Changeman which just reeked of amazingness.

Next episode is FLASHKING time! It's been awhile since I've seen a 5 part mecha combine. I'm pumped.

"Prism Flash!"

Do they do a roll call in Ep 1? Could you cut and upload it if they do, please. I need it for a project.

I am downloading the ep to watch myself, but the quicker I can get the roll call, the better.

They just do the "Chousinsei Flashman!" roll call ending, no individual ones yet.

I've got these episodes on DVD if you teach me how to upload them then I would be happy to do it for you. But if you want things alot more faster and precise you might want to ask Basri, he's the ****.

I've seen both Flashman movies and they rule. I'm getting Flashman next month along with Jetman if I can grab it before anyone else does. XD

The villains get the majority of darker music, but some of the more dramatic elements later in the series has some pretty heavy music, too. It's mostly the earlier episodes that have a...bouncier (for lack of a better term) sound to its music.

Lar Deus looks really creepy, from pictures I thought it would be a female kinda like Grandenne but I was wrong.

I love his voice actor, I wonder why he never did any other tokusatsu work other than Deuce and a monster of the week in GoGoFive.

Wanda.... Wanda.... Wanda.... For the love of God this actor just won't leave me alone lol. I'm so glad that he is doing a villian in this series.

Hirose's needed in more series! There's a rumor on Japanese boards that he'll be playing a villain in Boukenger and I hope he does -- he's the swift kick in the ass that Boukenger needs. Gaja, Ryuoon, Furabijou 2; they're jokes compared to Hirose!

What was the disc that Mag dropped in the shuttle? and you know this question was coming but when does the first arc begin and when does the darker, epic, and dramatic aspects kick in?

The disc was a disc programmed by the Flash aliens with instructions for Magu to act like a "guard robot" protecting the Roundbase/Star Condor. He didn't recognize the Flashman and so he treated them like invaders. The Flash aliens programmed a separate disc with instructions for Magu to assist the Flashman and they'll insert that one (in episode two, I think).

The first arc starts around episode 8 and introduces some recurring characters, crucial to the series.

You are sooo gonna love it when Sir Bastard Kaura makes an appearance later in the series. The music that always accompany him and his hideous Alien Hunters is awesome.

I watched until ep 3 and the Mess keep mentioning the Alien Hunters and I do know what that son of a bitch did.... I know.....

Episode 3 had a scene where Red Flash was fighting and the drama music kicked in and from this point on I have a feeling I'm in for another ride.

btw, FlashKing is an awesome mecha and I love the team cockpit. :buttrock:

Thanks for the pic, Disco. :buttrock:

Episode 3 was pretty good. I was wondering why the Mess was going after that child?. Did that particular child have the DNA that Deuce wanted?.

Jin also had a quick flashback to when he was kidnapped, I can't wait until more of that is revealed. It's a pretty dark concept.

The night time scene where Jin transforms into Red Flash was simply amazing. I say this because the music that played was the best I've ever heard in Tokusatsu. I love the guitars and overall sound of that song. Is the same guy who did the Changeman music doin' the Flashman music aswell?. Speaking of Flashman music I'm hooked on the OP theme. Flash Flash Flash Flash!.

Green Flash looks familiar, is it just me or was he a villian in Dairanger?.
