Candidates for THE ARCH

It would probably help if you explained to all of us what exactly "The ARCH" is and what type of content is supposed to be going there. The current subtext description you have on the main page of the forum gives a vague idea, but it isn't that clear.


JFC's theory: ARCH = short for "archive" ?
This would meant that The ARCH is supposed to be a publicly viewed storehouse for past threads that have gotten so huge (both in pages as well as in the scope/importance of the content within it) that it's one of those "this must be kept for posterity" type of things?

Could you put a duplicate in the Arch? I assume it's locked, so no one could post in it, anyway.

I was mostly talking about the fanfic ones, but really any locked threads that you'd like to keep in their original spot but also have in the Arch.

Unfortunately the fanfics only go back 6 pages. A lot don't show up after a while. In some cases you have to search to find the one you're looking for.

Yeah... another reason is that it feels too personal to say, "This fanfic is worth the Arch, but this one is not."

From all the views I see the Fics get, I don't think readers are having any trouble finding what stories we have in there.
