Buffy The Vampire Slayer Finale

Buffy ep 1 is on right now. Sarah MG was alot hotter when she was younger. Alot of sexy leg and ass shots too. Christ, Xander looks like a giant geek lol.

I really enjoyed both these shows, but I liked Angel best. Buffy was best when she was still in high school. By the time they introduced her sister and made her fall in love with Spike (who was a fucking badass otherwise!), it was kinda grasping at straws. I never watched it when it was on the WB, but I caught the reruns on FX last year.

Even though Forever Knight is right and it sucks ass that Angel got cancelled, let me just say that the 5th and final season was amazing. I think it may have been the best one ever. The finale was a letdown because the writers didn't know they were getting cancelled until the last minute, and they did what they could to salvage the season's plots into a decent close.

Fred's death was really, really sad, especially her final speech to Wes. You don't see that kind of quality writing on American TV anymore. I was glad they brought Connor back at they end too! I liked him a lot more when he wasn't such a whiny, homicidal little bitch.

Though everyone died at the end, and we'll never see them again, at least they all went down as heroes. That's the way it goes sometimes.

I think Buffy ended the way it needed to end, at the time, although to me the real series finale is the end of Season 5. Season 6 was just moronic, and made me want to slap Joss when I finally did meet him for real. 7 was decent, and you could tell they were trying to get it back, but the heart had just gone out of it. I do love what the real finale set up in the universe, with so many damn slayers walking around. It would've made a perfect Faith TV show if UPN wasn't made up of fucktards.

As for Angel, again, brilliant show, Season 4 is my favorite season of any TV show ever. However, I disagree that the killing of Fred was "unforgivable." It was necessary, as Fred was even more of a background chump than Xander. Illyria, on the other hand, was interesting as hell and the stuff between her and Wesley would have carried another full season on its own.

And hey, they didn't necessarily all die. The only confirmed death is Wesley. With Spike, Angel, and especially Illyria on their side they might have made it out.

Angel's OP theme OWNED.

I remember being a fan of Doyle (the guy who played Becky's husband on ROSEANNE) and I was sad when he died in Season 1. I heard he ODed in real life aswell.

He did, a few years later. Honestly, there was no reason to kill him off, but I get the feeling that he was doing drugs on set too and the producers official reasons for killing Doyle, "We wanted to shake up Angel's world" etc etc, were just for cover up. It really sucked though...Doyle will always be one of my all time favorite characters.

Buffy and Angel both rocked in my book. I love the chances Joss took with these shows. Doing an epiosde where nodody cold talk for most of the show, an ep where everybody broke out in a song and dance number and where the lead was turned into a muppet. And he made it work. I alway thought Fred/Illiria was his attempt at doing the whole "Dark Phoenix" right. I know he tried with Willow on Buffy but it didn't turn out all that well. I just wished Fox would have let him continue work his magic on Firefly, hopefully serenity will turn out just as good.

Over the past few days the beginning of the series has been showing. I forgot how good the original Buffy season was. It was simple but so exciting. Sarah Michelle also looked 100x hotter when she was younger. She seems more voluptuous and busty too. The episode airing right now is the one where Buffy trys out for cheerleading team and the one girl uses voodoo on the other girls so that she can be #1.

I haven't seen these eps in MANY MANY years.
