Personality: Kind and caring but aloof so little is known of his life before becoming BoukenBlack. Frequently leaves without warning but always reappears in time to join the fight.
History: Born at the birth of time itself, Hikari has spent much time among various races. He, along with his brother, Yami, were charged with keeping the balance of light and darkness amid the sentient races and worlds. Like most siblings, the two fought frequently, with violent and tragic repercussions. Their greatest and most tragic fight came after twin armors that had been crafted for the brothers were inadvertently fused together. The resulting clash cast the two to opposite ends of the universe, with Hikari managing to keep hold on the armor.
Landing on a small blue planet, Hikari set about learning what the planet had to offer. Eon’s past and Hikari finally gave into his bodies need for rest, burying himself and the armor for safekeeping. Though he’d raised a shield, when he awoke Hikari was shocked to find his resting place ransacked, and not a trace of the armor could be found. He began a search only to be diverted by a faint trace similar to Yami’s energy.
Though it turned out to be strange creatures and a group of humans, Hikari felt his brother was close. Though he thought he’d left ‘clean’ from the area, Inou Masumi, the original BoukenBlack had spied him for a second and became obsessed with finding out who could have possibly known about the ‘precious’ mission. Masumi, after much time and searching, caught up with Hikari as he was about to search a ruin. Though Hikari was annoyed at the human’s attitude and actions as they (Masumi following Hikari & demanding information as they went) journeyed deeper into the ruins. Setting off a trap in his distraction with the human male, both men found the ruins collapsing around them. Transforming Masumi made an attempt to ‘rescue’ Hikari, only to find that the man moved inhumanly fast and ‘rescued’ him instead. Not caring as Hikari protested, Masumi left the man his Accellular and past him the title of ‘BoukenBlack’.
Dragged into the newly formed team Hikari goes by his nickname, Ryu. Ryu discovered, rather painfully, that due to human’s pollution, the balance of nature was distorted. In turn, the majority of his magic is severed from him, and any use eats away at him physically. Regardless, he’s always searching for something unknown to the rest but now finding himself growing attached to the others, Ryu does what he can to stop the new threat.

History: Born at the birth of time itself, Yami spent little time among the emerging races, viewing them ‘worthless’. He, along with his brother, Hikari, were charged with keeping the balance of light and darkness amid the sentient races and worlds. Yami believed in ‘only the strong will survive’ and enjoyed using his powers to ‘purge’ worlds of their ‘worthless’ life. Hikari, always tried to stop him and that led to fun and destructive battles. Their greatest and most entertaining fight came after twin armors that had been crafted for the brothers were inadvertently fused together. The resulting clash cast the two to opposite ends of the universe, Yami awakening to find that his armor was gone as was the annoying brother.
Traveling around the stars, Yami encountered a race that he actually liked, the Hoshi Kariudo. He joined them in searching for so called ‘precious’ that he hoped to use against Hikari and reclaim his armor. Eon’s later, Yami drew near to a planet, Earth. At first he didn’t notice it, that faint but familiar energy aura. Soon he knew, Hikari was somewhere on that mud ball of a world. Taking on a human form, Yami searched for his brother. Though he ended up finding the newly awakened Hoshi Kariudo instead.
He didn’t know anything about the princess, he’d journey with her father, the King. She must have sensed something about him, because not long after a Void servant appeared and took him away. The princess offered him the power of KariudoAmber, and Yami gleefully accepted, knowing he could cause much suffering with it as he searched for his armor… and missing brother.
