Biggest Toku Shoot Down?

I think you should go watch some older stuff :p

Not quite yet, I probably will when I'm done with Faiz...thinking about Agito...

But thats not gonna change my love for Go-Onger in all its sillyness.

Sometimes I feel bad for not having seen the older series and just now getting into toku over past 2 years or so.

However, it seems more and more I'm thankful to see what is now so that I can enjoy it AND what came before...

That explains everything!

I didn't really delve into toku until 2003-2004. But look how far I've come in just 5 years.

I'm sorry, really I don't mean any offense to this, but as jaded as you are, I hope I never "come that far"

With more knowledge comes more jadedness and skepticism.

If you don't want to be "jaded", you probably can't watch anything older than 1995

Do Agito, it's really great. Cruel Angel subs FTW.

I'm sure sometime in the future once you've got a good # of Toku shows under ur belt ur opinion might change but then again anything is possible.

I think it's funny that a guys who know a sentai goes for about 50 episodes, are complaining that things are not happening right now. Also their complaints about Shinkenger not having anything happen that is meaningful, is pretty much them being wrong. There has been character growth from all 5 shinkengers. We have learned more about the villians. Takeru has become more open and accepting than he was at the beginning. For anyone to say it's just them sitting around waiting for a new mecha... That just proves to me that person isn't watching the show.

Agreed.

Shinkenger's been a disappointment. Fans have long waited for a samurai show, so it's that much more of a disappointment. It could have all of Go-onger's designs, and you'd have the same show. The Japanese have countless stories related to samurai and that time period, and this is the best they care to do? It's like America screwing up a Western.

Well dude you know it is hard to impress someone who's seen the classic stuff. Like I said before just wait, we know the Shinken writer is awesome and big stuff will come. It has to.

Every Kamen Rider before Den-O was pretty acceptable and even good.

but every Rider after Den-O was a great disappointment after another.

Would you like me to pull out the Den-O Hate Train poster, because I will.

Tell me exactly what was wrong with Den-O that wasn't also present in Kabuto?

Why do you assume Den-O haters are Kabuto lovers?

I both like and dislike Den-O. It's better than Kabuto because it didn't become the trainwreck (pardon the pun) its predecessor did. No useless Riders and a story (such as it was, it kept getting overshadowed by the Taros) that was in fact a Rider-esque story, with more or less a decent resolution. I don't like however that the show has become so overrated in the fandom and that the lovers are so quick to jump on any Den-O critic, calling them "fun haters" and the like.
