Kinda behind on this, but how is the show? Is it worth giving a watch?

I'd say it is. It's a very different approach to the Dark Knight mythos.

I like that they already introduced a mythical element with the Soultaker Sword, instead of going with the gritty realism of the Nolanverse.

You know how you can tell this is during Batman's early years. People see giant toy soldiers in the street and don't go running for their lives.

Also how did Humpty who was a former accountant make those soldiers in the first place? Paying for them wouldn't be an issue, probably just used money he stole from Tobias Whale. I wonder if they are going to introduce a villain at some point that is the one who makes all the "props" for the other villains. I could see the re-purposing the Dollmaker (New 52), I mean look what Professor Pyg became so it's not a big stretch.

Humpty's voice actor did a great job. I really felt sorry for him during the episode.

I heard that too, it's just a big leap from liking toys to creation of robots that feature advanced anti-tampering mechanisms. It is a nit-pick I know, I just always like when they explain where something comes from in superhero stories. It fills out the world for me. Like how the BTAS episode "The Mechanic" has always stuck with me through out the years.

And agreed, Matt L. Jones as Humpty was amazing. You could feel how the character was just broken beyond all hope. This is why I think using lesser-known villains is a great idea, they are free the make the characters their own. Unlike let's say with the Joke where you have live up to the likes of Mark Hamill and Cesar Romero.

^The other good thing about using the obscure villains is that when the A-listers finally do show up, they'll be a big deal instead of being taken for granted. That registered for me when I actually got excited when Katana name-dropped Ra's al Ghul.

Marathioned the available pes, loving the show's animation and textures. Story wise there is a feeling of growth. Bruce being a lot younger and and alfred as a gentleman brawler. Loving these concepts. Katana's also a really great character in this. Looking forward to more!
