Anyone have a Katana(s)?

if I could have a custom sword, it'd be modeled after the Gundam Astray Red Frame's Gerbera Straight. the design is really nice if you've seen the PG's version...

the only ones I have now are an extremely warped Zangetsu from Bleach {I was young, got super angry, meh} and two short swords, ones a wakizashi sword, other is a simple short sword that I got from Goodwill.

Anyone know the best sites to get'em? Which brands are good, etc?

My friend and I are trying to get one. We found the site "True Swords" It looks legit, and I came across it many times before. I'm just wondering if anyone has purchased anything from there.

They are surprisingly cheap. I like that. :D

I have.... *ahem* MANY. lol

One of my prizes of my collection is the Bride sword from Kill Bill. I highly recommend buy from Hattori Hanzo Swords (i dont remember the website, i buy from them in person). They have some of the best quality that you can find. WeaponsMasters had some nice display ones, but I usually purchase mine in the more realistic quantity. One of my most expensive ones I can't even remember where I got it, sank a pretty good amount into it though. Surprisingly it came in MAJOR handy then a tree fell and we had to cut the branches hehe

Haha I had a tree incident 2 years ago myself, I could of used a Katana back then. I would of helped out, no doubt. lol

It's only a replica, but it's still super high quality and functional.

lol useful katanas are always great.

I feel you, I notice as far as getting swords from movies, replicas are your best bet.

I wonder how much a legit storm shadow and/or snake eyes sword would be anyways? :hmm:

Haha, that's really bad for a sword, not to mention totally inappropriate use of a weapon.

The thing is my Kill Bill one is replica but was made by the same company who made them for the movie. If you're just wanting a katana to display that is DEFINITELY not a wise financial choice

oh no, I don't want them just for display. But I don't want to kill anyone either. lol

Then why else have them? LOL j/k

Through a luck of knowing museum dealers my father got an Edo period sword. Sometimes that's a cool way to get good swords.

haha I have no museum connections what so ever, so that's out of the question, plus if it's a matter of just going to one, and talking to certain people, I don't think I can do that either. Because the museums are journey's away.
