AM i a bad person for not likeing Anime anymore?

There's something I want to add, you know how it seems like a lot of shows from the "old days" are good? That's because you're looking at those shows that are heavily hyped and actually are good. For the amount of crappy anime that are out now, there was still bad stuff back then too.

Oh, you think we don't know that?

There is some good new anime being made (Miyazaki's work, for one), but that's the exception, not the rule.

Other than that, nothing else really stands out for me.

No, I think people know that. I also think some people don't know that and think everything from the 90's and below was gold instead writing off everything as moe and crappy. It's to the point where "moe anime" translates out to "has a female character in it." I've seen people think Shiki was a moe anime for goodness sake.

Well, if you're tossing in directors, then I'm tossing in Makoto Shinkai's stuff who is also making a new movie and my favorite director Mamoru Hosoda who made Summer Wars. Also, I've rarely seen an anime by Masaki Yuasa that I didn't like, and he just directed "The Tatami Galaxy" this year which went very under appreciated. I also have to add that even if you don't like what Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt has to offer, you have to admit it looks and feels like nothing else out there right now or possibly ever besides maybe Dead Leaves. Just looking at it makes the show stand out from the rest.

There was an "that's the exception not the rule" thing in the past too that I think people forget.

To each is own.

If you don't enjoy something, then find something else you do enjoy. It's no big deal if you liked something and then find yourself bored with it. Same concept can go with anything. Anything you like now can turn into something you don't next year, even next week. Vice Versa with the previous sentence.

Well, I don't think that you're an awful person. It's probably because you lost interest or you just had other stuff to do. But, I am pretty sure you might get back into Anime again, someday.
